AI agent platforms for WhatsApp in Latin America: a criteria-based comparison

A 2026 comparison of 15 WhatsApp AI platforms in LATAM, including Meta Business Agent, Cliengo, Mercately and Kommo: price, payments, ERP and source.

Which AI agent platform fits a business that sells and supports customers on WhatsApp in Latin America?

In 2026 the WhatsApp AI agent platforms compared in Latin America are B2Chat, Botmaker, Cliengo, Darwin AI, Kommo, Leadsales, LIWA, Manychat, Mercately, Meta Business Agent, Meteor, respond.io, Treble, Wati and Zenvia, and none of them wins on everything. Meta Business Agent is free to start inside the WhatsApp Business app, where Meta has enabled it, and answers with what it knows about your business. The others add an inbox, a CRM, campaigns or integrations. For a sales CRM, look at Kommo or Leadsales; to grow from Instagram and TikTok, Manychat; if the agent has to collect with a payment link in pesos and quote in Siigo or Alegra, Meteor. The table compares all fifteen by criteria, with a source in every cell.

This comparison was checked on October 29, 2026 against each platform’s official site, linked in every cell. It is not a ranking: the fifteen appear in alphabetical order and each goes further on a different front. Use it to know which one to look at first for what you need, and what to ask for in the demo.

The table by criteria, 2026

Each cell sums up what the vendor publishes and links the page it came from. Where something does not appear, the cell says so as a question, not as an absence. Prices carry their billing unit; they are not added up or compared with each other, because each unit depends on your volume.

Who each one fits

One paragraph per platform, in the same alphabetical order: where it goes further based on what it publishes, and what to check before deciding.

B2Chat

It fits if you want an inbox for WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and live chat, with plans sized by number of users and AI as an add-on you switch on when you need it. What to check: its page shows two prices per plan without saying which applies and warns they are indicative, so ask for a written quote with your volume.

Botmaker

It fits if you handle high volume across many channels, Mercado Libre included, with chat, email and voice agents, and you want a person to approve the sensitive steps. What to check: what opening the WhatsApp account costs and whether generative AI is part of the plan.

Cliengo

It fits if your priority is turning web and WhatsApp visitors into qualified leads, with AI agents per plan and 14 days to try it without a card. What to check: its page names Mercado Pago and SAP; if your system is Siigo or Alegra, or your gateway is local, ask.

Darwin AI

It fits if you want AI employees by role (sales, reactivation, surveys, collections and after sales) that also take phone calls. What to check: it publishes no price, and its integration list names Odoo and Omie but no Colombian ERP.

Kommo

It fits if you want a sales CRM built around messaging, with a pipeline and AI agents per plan. What to check: it charges per user with a 6-month minimum, and the agents spend credits that do not roll over to the next month. More detail in Kommo alternatives.

Leadsales

It fits if your team sells on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger and wants Lead Agent to qualify and pass the lead to the right rep. What to check: the Basic plan does not include the official WhatsApp API, and Lead Agent has its own price from the second month. More detail in Leadsales alternatives.

LIWA

It fits if you want a vendor with a team and support in Colombia that combines WhatsApp AI agents with telephony, a cloud PBX and virtual numbers. What to check: the published price is for the Standard version; custom agents are quoted by scope.

Manychat

It fits if you grow from Instagram and TikTok and want to move those conversations into WhatsApp with automations. What to check: the Pro plan connects up to 3 channels and charges per active contact above 2,500. More detail in Manychat alternatives.

Mercately

It fits if you sell on WhatsApp and social media and want to collect with payment links inside the chat, including methods from Colombia and Ecuador. What to check: the MIA features flagged as beta are not on the entry plan, and the page does not say how long the trial lasts.

Meta Business Agent

It fits if you want to start at no cost: it lives inside the WhatsApp Business app, learns from your chats, your Facebook Page, your website and your catalog, and replies while you are away. What to check: Meta says it is available to eligible businesses in select markets, so confirm in the app that you have it. Its product page names no CRM, ERP or gateways; to connect systems such as Shopify or Zendesk, Meta offers a separate platform for large businesses.

Meteor

It fits if the agent has to work on your regional systems: collect with a Wompi or Mercado Pago link, quote in Siigo or Alegra, check SIESA and track shipments with TCC, with what it does and does not do written in each record. What to check: it has no native app (it installs as a web app) and does not publish RCS, bulk SMS, TikTok or Telegram as channels; your team creates the e-invoice, not a channel Met. How it serves customers, in the WhatsApp AI agent.

respond.io

It fits if you need an inbox with many channels, routing and AI agents that close conversations and update the contact lifecycle. What to check: AI agents are not on Starter, and what happens in your system after the conversation depends on the integration you have. More detail in respond.io alternatives.

Treble

It fits if your channel is WhatsApp and you want campaigns and an AI bot that answers your FAQs and hands over to a person. What to check: its pricing page asks for a password and it says Instagram is not included yet.

Wati

It fits if you want an inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram, RCS, SMS and web chat, with Astra handling conversations end to end. What to check: the entry plan connects up to 3 channels and WhatsApp messages are billed on top of the plan. More detail in Wati alternatives.

Zenvia

It fits if you need service on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and webchat with specialist agents and integrations with Brazilian systems. What to check: channel packages and activation are billed on top of the software. More detail in Zenvia alternatives.

Meta’s free agent: when it is enough and when it is not

Meta Business Agent, which Meta launched as Business AI, is the agent Meta puts inside the WhatsApp Business app. According to Meta, getting started is free, and it has announced paid plans for the coming months. It learns from your past chats, your Facebook Page, your website, your catalog and the documents you upload, and it answers questions about hours, location, products, prices, discounts, payment and shipping for you.

It is enough if the answer is already in what you publish and your goal is to leave no one waiting. It falls short when the next step lives in another system: creating a payment link, quoting in your accounting software, checking stock in your ERP or leaving the case assigned in a pipeline with an owner. That is where the other fourteen come in.

If you sell in Colombia

If you sell in Colombia, the one that fits is the one that collects in pesos and works on your accounting software without taking the customer out of the chat. On the pages reviewed, Meteor is the one that names Wompi, Siigo, Alegra and SIESA; Mercately names payments with Colombian wallets; and Cliengo, Botmaker, Darwin AI, Kommo and Zenvia name Mercado Pago. Something missing from a page does not prove it does not exist, so take these four questions to every demo:

  1. Is the WhatsApp line in your company’s name? Meteor is a Meta Business Partner and connects your number through the official WhatsApp Business API; with coexistence you keep using the WhatsApp Business app on your phone with the same number. Ask each vendor who appears before Meta and what happens to your number the day you switch platforms.
  2. Can you collect in pesos without taking the customer out of the chat? With Wompi, a Met creates a payment link in Colombian pesos to pay by PSE, Nequi, Bancolombia or card, and checks the transaction before treating the payment as done.
  3. Does it connect to your accounting software or ERP? In Siigo or Alegra, the Met prepares the quote from the chat and your team creates the e-invoice, with approval. In SIESA it checks stock, price, receivables and credit, read only.
  4. What does it cost in total? Meteor’s plans are published in dollars, from US$99 a month, and every new account starts with a 7-day trial and US$5 of Energy, no card. What Meta charges per template is extra on every platform. Ask each one for the total cost at your volume, not just the plan.

How to use this table in a demo

A table does not decide on its own. Take the same case to every vendor and ask them to walk it with your accounts:

  1. A customer writes on WhatsApp and asks about price and availability. Which system does the data come from?
  2. The customer wants to move forward. Is a quote, a payment link or a booking created, and in which system?
  3. What is left in the CRM so a sales rep can pick it up: contact, stage, note and owner?
  4. Something fails and the external system does not respond. What does the agent say, and who gets the case?

The platform that fits you is the one that solves those four steps with your operation, not the one that ticks the most boxes.

Frequently asked

Questions on this topic

None wins on everything. Meta Business Agent is enough to answer questions at no entry cost; Manychat goes further on Instagram and TikTok; Kommo and Leadsales on sales CRM; respond.io and Wati on a multichannel inbox; Botmaker and Zenvia on many channels with integrations; Cliengo, Darwin AI, LIWA and Mercately on agents that qualify and book; Meteor when the agent works on regional systems such as Siigo, Alegra, SIESA, Wompi or Mercado Pago.

If what you need is to answer opening hours, products, prices and shipping from what is already in your catalog and your page, start with Meta Business Agent where Meta has enabled it: according to Meta, getting started is free. Its product page names no CRM, ERP or payment gateway connections. If the agent has to create a payment link, quote in your accounting software or leave the case in a pipeline, compare a platform on the same journey.

It depends on what happens after the message. Of the fifteen, Meteor is the one whose pages name Wompi, Siigo, Alegra and SIESA, with what it does and does not do in each record. Mercately names payments with Colombian wallets, and Cliengo, Botmaker, Darwin AI, Kommo and Zenvia name Mercado Pago. LIWA presents itself with a team and support in Colombia. Whatever is not on a page, ask about it in the demo.

Leadsales and Zenvia also publish their prices in Mexican pesos. With Meteor, a Met prepares CFDI invoice drafts in gigstack, which do not reach the SAT until someone stamps them, and creates payment links with Mercado Pago. Ask each platform about your invoicing system before deciding.

Mercately's payments page lists Payphone card payments as available for Ecuador. With Meteor, a Met checks catalog, stock and receivables in Contífico, builds quotes and answers whether a document is already authorized by the SRI; invoicing and recording payments stay with the team.

No. Twelve of the fifteen publish a price on their site; Darwin AI does not show one, Treble's pricing page is password protected and Meta only says getting started is free. The units vary: per plan, per user, per AI conversation or per active contact.
