Botmaker vs Meteor: what to compare when looking for a Botmaker alternative
Looking for a Botmaker alternative? Compare AI agents, channels, CRM, integrations and the published price of Botmaker and Meteor, with official sources.
Which Botmaker alternative is worth evaluating to build AI agents on WhatsApp?
A Botmaker alternative is compared by the work that gets done after the message. Botmaker presents itself as a platform to build AI agents: WhatsApp, Instagram, web chat, TikTok, Mercado Libre, Telegram, Slack, Teams and Apple Messages, chat, email and voice agents that check systems and run transactions, and connections to HubSpot, Salesforce, VTEX or Shopify. It publishes prices by conversation allowance. Meteor enters the comparison when you need a native CRM with the contact, the stage and the owner, or the work continues in your Colombian systems: Wompi by PSE or Nequi, Siigo or Alegra, SIESA or TCC, with limits published per connector. If you need many channels, Mercado Libre as a channel or voice agents, Botmaker goes further today.
If you are looking for a Botmaker alternative, this comparison helps you decide whether you need another platform to build AI agents or Mets that come with a CRM and Colombian connectors. It was reviewed on October 27, 2026 against Botmaker’s official site, linked at the end. It keeps Botmaker’s real advantages.
How to evaluate a Botmaker alternative
Botmaker presents itself as the platform to build AI agents. Its site describes agents that check systems and run transactions on WhatsApp, Instagram, web chat, TikTok and other channels, with catalog, order and payment inside the conversation, a live chat for the team, WhatsApp campaigns and apps for iOS and Android. It presents itself as a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider and says it has a presence in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and the United States.
Meteor starts from a different assumption: instead of a platform for your team to build agents, it brings Mets with a native CRM and connectors with public pages that say what each one does and what it does not. The difference worth testing is how much is ready from day one and what is written down as a limit.
Where Botmaker goes further
These advantages come from Botmaker’s official site.
| Area | What Botmaker publishes | What Meteor has today |
|---|---|---|
| Channels | WhatsApp, Instagram, web chat, TikTok, Messenger, Mercado Libre, Telegram, Slack, Teams and Apple Messages for Business. | WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and web chat. |
| Mercado Libre | It presents itself as a Mercado Libre partner and offers it as a channel. | It publishes and syncs the catalog in Mercado Libre from WooCommerce and reads sales; it does not answer buyers inside Mercado Libre. |
| Email and voice | AI agents for email and for voice. | Mets handle chat conversations. If you need voice, test it in the demo. |
| Commerce | VTEX and Shopify catalogs with payment inside the conversation. | Shopify, WooCommerce and Tiendanube; it does not publish a VTEX connector. |
If you need many channels, Mercado Libre as a service channel or voice agents, Botmaker is probably a correct answer.
Where the difference becomes local
Botmaker names Mercado Pago and PayPal for payments, and HubSpot, Salesforce and Zendesk as CRMs. Wompi, PSE, Nequi, Siigo, Alegra and SIESA do not appear on the pages we read. That does not prove they cannot be connected: it is a question for the demo. Meteor publishes what a Met does with them:
- Payment in pesos. With Wompi, a single-use link to pay by PSE, Nequi, Bancolombia or card, and the transaction checked before confirming.
- Accounting and ERP. In Siigo or Alegra, the Met prepares the quote from the chat; in SIESA it checks stock, price, receivables and credit limit, read only.
- Shipping. With TCC it quotes the freight at the carrier’s rate and tracks the waybill.
What to compare before asking for a demo
| Question | Botmaker: confirm your plan’s scope | Meteor: what gets done |
|---|---|---|
| Where is the record kept? | Integration with the CRM you already use. | Native CRM with contact, custom fields, stage, notes and owner, or HubSpot and Pipedrive if you already work there. |
| What does the AI do? | Checks systems and runs transactions, with a person when that adds value. | Mets serve, qualify, book, quote and check connected systems, then hand over to a person with the history. |
| What needs approval? | Ask in writing which transactions the agent runs on its own. | Posting to social media, switching on campaigns or changing their budget, and invoices and accounting wait for a person. |
| What does it cost? | Standard at US$149 a month with 3,000 conversations (October 27, 2026). | From US$99 a month with US$10 of Energy included; extra usage and Meta’s charges are separate. |

The demo Meteor has to win
- A customer asks about price and availability. The system checks your real store or ERP.
- The customer wants to move ahead. A quote, an appointment or a verified payment link is left.
- A record is left that a sales rep can pick up: contact, stage, note and owner.
- Something fails and the external system does not respond. Ask what the agent says.
Run the same list with Botmaker. If both handle it, choose on price and on what suits your team.
How to close the decision
If you need a platform to build agents across many channels, Botmaker competes well. If you need the agent to arrive with a CRM and your Colombian systems connected, test that journey in both.
The limits
What this article does NOT answer
We would rather say it here than leave you hunting for something that is not there.
-
It quotes the price Botmaker publishes, with the date it was read, but does not say which platform is cheaper: Botmaker charges by conversation allowance and Meteor by plan plus Energy.
-
It does not measure AI quality, availability, conversions or implementation time. Those depend on each account's process, data and configuration.
-
It relies on Botmaker's public site. Whatever does not appear there is a question for the demo, not an absence.
