Subscribe to your MailerLite list whoever asks on WhatsApp and tell them what they will get

An AI agent subscribes in MailerLite whoever asks for your emails on WhatsApp, adds them to the right group and tells them what will arrive.

How do I make whoever asks for my offers on WhatsApp end up subscribed to my MailerLite list without adding them by hand?

A Met connected to MailerLite asks the person for their email, checks whether they are already subscribed and subscribes them with their name, or updates them if they were already there, without a duplicate. Then it adds them to the group the skill names, for example "Weekly offers", and checks which active automation that group has to tell them what will arrive. If the person later says they get nothing, the Met checks their activity in MailerLite and tells them what is on record. The group is written in the skill, because the connector page does not include listing groups.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when someone writes on WhatsApp asking to get your offers, newsletter or news by email, or saying they are not arriving. There is no trigger to configure: the Met assigned to the line runs the procedure inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Support Met that adds subscribers

Social team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that already answers the business's WhatsApp, with MailerLite connected. Its work ends when the person is subscribed to the right group and knows which emails will arrive.

5 steps · 5 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Check whether they are already subscribed

With the email the person gives, the Met checks whether they are already a MailerLite subscriber and in which status. That way it does not resubscribe someone who unsubscribed unless they ask.

  2. 2

    Subscribe or update them

The Met creates the subscriber with their name and email, or updates the existing one with that email. The same action does both, so the person is not repeated.

  3. 3

Add them to the right group

The Met adds them to the group the skill names for what they asked for, for example offers or newsletter. The group ID goes in the skill because the connector page does not include listing groups.

  4. 4

    Tell them what will arrive

The Met checks which active automation that group has, for example a welcome, and tells the person which email will arrive first. If there is none, it does not promise an immediate email.

  5. 5

Check when they say nothing arrives

If the person later writes that they do not get the emails, the Met checks their activity in MailerLite and tells them what shows up, for example whether campaigns were sent to them, so they check their spam folder or fix the email.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

The Met finds them by email and updates them instead of creating another. If they were in another group, it also adds them to the one they asked for.

Yes, with one group per list in MailerLite. The Met's skill says which group each request goes to.

It does not send it itself. If the group has an active welcome automation in MailerLite, MailerLite sends it; the Met only lets the person know.
