Pick up the conversation with a prospect on WhatsApp using their Fathom calls

An AI agent finds the prospect in your Fathom calls, reads the summary of the last one and picks up the sale on WhatsApp from there.

How do I make my WhatsApp pick up the conversation with a prospect where their last call left off?

A Met connected to Fathom, when a prospect writes again on WhatsApp after a call, finds them among the meetings your team recorded, reads the summary of the most recent one and replies from that point: what they were interested in, what they were offered and what was left pending. If the prospect asks about a detail, the Met looks it up in the transcript instead of guessing. When it cannot find it, it says so and alerts your team. It only sees the meetings the connected account can already see in Fathom.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when a prospect who already had a call recorded with Fathom writes again on WhatsApp. There is no trigger to configure: the Met assigned to the line runs the procedure inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Sales Met that follows up prospects

Sales team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that already answers prospects on WhatsApp, with Fathom connected. Its work ends when the prospect feels the conversation continued where it left off, without repeating what they already said on the call.

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Know which account it reads from

The Met checks the identity of the connected Fathom account. That tells it whose meetings it will search and, if someone else recorded the call, it says so instead of assuming there was no call.

  2. 2

Find the prospect in the meetings

With the name the prospect gives in the conversation, the Met looks for them among the people in the Fathom meetings and keeps their calls. If two people share the name, it asks for the company.

  3. 3

    Search by company or topic

If it does not find them by name, the Met searches meetings by the company name or the product they discussed. If nothing shows up, it tells the prospect and alerts your team.

  4. 4

    Read the last call's summary

The Met reads the summary of the most recent meeting with that prospect and replies from there: what they were interested in, what they were offered and what each side has pending.

  5. 5

Check the detail in the transcript

If the prospect asks about something the summary does not include, such as a figure or a condition, the Met reads that meeting's transcript and answers with what was said, or admits it was not discussed.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

That depends on how your team uses Fathom on the call, not on Met. The Met only reads what was already recorded in the connected account.

The Met finds the call if the connected account can see it in Fathom. If it was recorded in an account that does not share those meetings, the Met does not see it and tells your team.

Yes. It finds their meetings and can read the summary of each one; the procedure starts with the most recent because it shows where the conversation left off.

Your company, with its Fathom account and plan. Met does not charge for the calls your Met makes to Fathom.
