Answer on WhatsApp what was shown in a meeting presentation recorded with Granola
An AI agent answers on WhatsApp which price or deadline was shown in the meeting, reading Granola's notes and screenshots.
How do I tell a customer which price we showed them in the meeting, if we took it with Granola?
A Met connected to your salesperson's Granola account finds the meeting with the customer who asks, by date and attendees, and reads its notes and summary. If the question is about something shared on screen, like the pricing slide or the timeline table, it opens that meeting's screenshots and answers with what they show. On a paid Granola plan it also pulls the transcript to quote the exact sentence. That way the customer gets the figure they were shown within minutes, without waiting for the salesperson to dig through their notes. Private notes are not shared: that is written in the skill.
What starts it
When the customer writes
It starts when a customer who already had a meeting writes on WhatsApp asking about a price, a deadline or a condition they were shown. There is no trigger to configure: the line's Met runs the procedure inside that conversation.
Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.
Who runs it
Sales Met that remembers what was shown in each meeting
Sales team
This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that answers the sales WhatsApp, with Granola connected to the salesperson's account. Its work ends when the customer gets the figure they were shown in the meeting, or when the question goes to the salesperson.

5 steps · 5 tools
The procedure, step by step
Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.
- 1
Confirm the connected account and workspace
Before searching, the Met checks which Granola account is connected and which workspace is active. If the salesperson has a personal and a work account, this keeps it from searching the wrong one.
- 2
Find the meeting with that customer
The Met lists meetings with their title, date and attendees, and keeps the one that matches the customer writing in. On the free plan it only sees those from the last 30 days.
- 3
Read the notes and the summary
The Met reads that meeting's notes and summary to find the topic the customer is asking about. The salesperson's private notes give it context, but it does not copy them into the answer.
- 4
Open what was shown on screen
If the question is about a slide, a table or a chart, the Met opens the screenshots of what was shared in the meeting and answers with the figure the image shows.
- 5
Quote the exact sentence, if needed
When the figure was said and not shown, the Met pulls the transcript and quotes what was said. This only works on a paid Granola plan; without a transcript, it passes the question to the salesperson.
Before you start
What you need ready
The Met solves none of these for you. If one is missing, the automation stops there.
-
Meetings taken with Granola
The salesperson takes meetings with Granola and shares their screen there when showing prices or timelines. Whatever did not end up in Granola, the Met does not know.
-
Granola connected in Met
In Met, open Connections → Granola → Connect and authorize with the salesperson's account, using the same email they use in Granola. Quoting transcripts needs a paid plan.
-
A WhatsApp line with the Met assigned
The business connects its WhatsApp Business API line and assigns the sales Met. The skill states which part of the notes can be shared with the customer.
The limits
What this automation does NOT solve
Better said here than discovered halfway through the rollout.
-
It does not change what was agreed. If the customer asks for another price or deadline, the Met tells them what was shown and hands the negotiation to the salesperson.
-
It does not read other accounts' meetings. It sees the connected account's notes in its active workspace; if another salesperson took the meeting, it does not find it.
-
It does not bring transcripts on Granola's free plan: there it answers with notes and screenshots, and only from the last 30 days.
-
It does not guess which meeting the customer means if they are not among the attendees: in that case the Met looks it up by the title or date the person gives.
-
It does not replace a formal quote. If the customer needs the price in writing, the Met answers and the salesperson sends the document.
FAQ
Questions about this automation
They should not: the skill tells the Met to use private notes as context and answer only with the figure that was shown or agreed with the customer.
On a paid plan the Met still finds it. On Granola's free plan it only sees the last 30 days and passes the question to the salesperson.
Yes, with the notes and the summary. If the figure was only said out loud, the Met needs the transcript, which requires a paid plan.
The connector reads the account that authorized it. For several salespeople, each one connects their Granola to their own Met or the team shares meetings in the Granola workspace.
