Answer on WhatsApp with recent web information from You.com and save it in Notion

An AI agent answers on WhatsApp questions that change often by finding the official source with You.com, and saves the answer in Notion.

How do I answer on WhatsApp questions that depend on changing information, without looking it up myself each time?

A customer of your agency asks on WhatsApp "what do they require to enter that country?". The Met first checks your Notion database for an answer your team gave recently. If there is none, it searches the web with recent results, limiting the search to the official site, reads the page it found and answers the customer with what it says, with the link so they can confirm it. Then it saves the question, the answer and the source as a new row in Notion, so your team can review it and next time it comes from there. It never answers from memory: if it finds no source, it says so.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when a customer writes on WhatsApp a question that depends on public information that changes, such as a requirement, opening hours or a rule. The Met assigned to the line runs the procedure inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Support Met that checks the web with You.com

Customer service team

This is not a named, seeded Met: it is the Met that already answers the business's WhatsApp, with You.com and Notion connected. Its work ends when the customer gets the answer with its source and the question is saved in Notion, or when it says it found no reliable source and hands them to a person.

5 steps · 5 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Check whether your team already answered it

The Met searches Notion for the answered questions database named in the skill and looks for a recent row about the same topic. If there is one and your team reviewed it, it answers with that.

  2. 2

    Find the official source

If there is no saved answer, the Met searches the web with recent results and, when the skill says so, only within the official site using the site: operator.

  3. 3

    Read the page before answering

The Met extracts the full content of the page it found and answers with what that page says, not with the search snippet. It shares the link so the customer can confirm it.

  4. 4

See how the database is built

The Met opens the Notion database to learn its columns, such as question, answer, source and date, so it does not make up a field your team never created.

  5. 5

    Save the answer for review

The Met creates a row with the customer's question, the answer it gave, the source link and the date. Your team reviews it and, if it is right, next time it comes from Notion.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

The skill can say which sites to use for each topic, and the Met searches only within them with the site: operator. If it finds nothing there, it does not answer with another source.

Each search and each page read consume balance from your You.com account, at its price. Answering from Notion, when it is already saved, does not use You.com.

Yes. Your team edits the row in Notion, and next time the Met answers with the corrected version.

Yes, for any question that depends on public information that changes: an agency's opening hours, the requirements of a procedure or a supplier's terms.
