Post on Instagram and Facebook by sending your agent a WhatsApp

You send an AI agent the piece's link and the caption on WhatsApp, and it posts it to your feed, your stories or your Facebook page.

How do I post on Instagram and Facebook by texting my agent on WhatsApp, without opening the apps?

You text your Met on WhatsApp "post this photo on Instagram with this caption, and add it to stories too", with the piece's link. The Met checks which pages and Instagram profiles are connected, looks up how many posts you have left in Instagram's twenty-four hour window and posts the image to the feed, the carousel if there are several pieces, the story or the post on your Facebook page. It answers with the result of each post. The image or video must be at a public address at posting time, because Instagram downloads it by link: a photo that only lives on your phone cannot be posted this way.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone on the team sends the Met on WhatsApp the piece they want to post, the caption and where it goes. Each post is on request.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Internal Met that posts to your Meta accounts

Social team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Facebook and Instagram connected, for the owner or whoever runs social media: it is done when the piece is posted where you asked and it gave you the result.

5 steps · 6 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Pick the page or profile

The Met lists the connected Facebook pages and Instagram profiles. If you manage more than one, it asks where to post before going on.

  2. 2

Check how much room is left today

Before posting on Instagram, the Met looks up how many posts are left in the twenty-four hour window. If there is no room, it tells you instead of trying and failing.

  3. 3

    Post to the Instagram feed

With a single piece, the Met posts the image to the feed with your caption and handles the upload behind the scenes. If you sent between two and ten pieces, it posts a carousel, which can mix images and videos.

  4. 4

    Add it to stories too

If you asked for a story, the Met posts the image or video as an Instagram story. It reminds you that it disappears after twenty-four hours.

  5. 5

    Post on the Facebook page

If it also goes on Facebook, the Met posts on your page with the photo and its caption, or with text only or a link if it is an announcement. It answers with the result of each post.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

Instagram needs the media at a public address at posting time. The safe way is to give the Met the piece's public link; a file that is not published cannot be posted this way.

Yes, as a carousel: two to ten pieces, mixing images and videos.

Instagram has a quota in a twenty-four hour window. The Met checks it before posting and tells you if none is left.

The skill has a reels tool, which waits for Meta to process the video before posting it. This procedure sticks to feed, carousel, stories and Facebook.
