Build an Unsplash collection of photos similar to the reference a client sends you

A client sends a reference photo on WhatsApp: an AI agent searches Unsplash for similar images and builds them a collection to choose from.

How do I find photos similar to the one a client sent me as a reference for their campaign?

Your client sends you a photo on WhatsApp with the style they want for their campaign. The Met uploads that image to Unsplash as a reference, searches for similar photos from it and widens the search with images related to the best matches. It creates a collection with the client's name in your Unsplash account, adds the options there and sends the client the link so they can choose. When the client replies, the Met checks the collection to confirm which ones made it. Before publishing, check each chosen photo's terms of use on Unsplash.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when a client writes on WhatsApp with a reference photo and asks for images in that style. There is no trigger to configure: the line's Met runs the procedure inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Agency Met that proposes photos to clients

Customer service team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that answers the agency's or designer's WhatsApp, with Unsplash connected. Its work ends when the client has a collection of options similar to their reference to choose from.

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Upload the client's reference

The Met uploads the image the client sent to Unsplash to use it in the search. If the photo is private or shows recognizable people, ask the client for a public reference instead.

  2. 2

    Search for similar photos

With that reference, the Met searches Unsplash for similar images and keeps the ones closest to what the client asked for: colors, framing or type of scene.

  3. 3

    Widen with related images

If one of the photos fits very well, the Met searches for images related to it to give the client more options in the same style.

  4. 4

    Create the client's collection

The Met creates a collection in your Unsplash account with the client's and the campaign's name, so the options do not get mixed with other clients'.

  5. 5

Add the options and send the link

The Met adds the chosen photos to the collection and sends the client the link on WhatsApp so they can see them on Unsplash and say which ones work.

  6. 6

Confirm the ones that made it

When the client replies, the Met pulls the collection's images to confirm with them which ones go into the campaign, by number or description.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

The Met sends them the collection's link on Unsplash. How it looks without an account is up to Unsplash, depending on how the collection is set up.

Yes, as a reference to search, if it is a public image. Remember that searching by image uploads it to Unsplash.

They stay in your Unsplash account. Deleting them starts switched off in the connector; if you want to clean up, do it on Unsplash or the admin turns that action on.

Usage runs on the agency's Unsplash account. Meteor does not resell Unsplash.
