Send a personalized piece made with your Canva template on WhatsApp

An AI agent fills your Canva brand template with each customer's details, checks how it looks, exports it and shares the link on WhatsApp.

How do I send each customer on WhatsApp a piece with their name and offer made in my Canva template?

A Met connected to Canva finds the brand template your team designed, reads which fields can be filled and fills it with what came out of the conversation: the customer's name, the product, the price or the offer date. It checks the thumbnail to see how it looks, fixes a line of text if needed, exports the piece as PNG or PDF and shares the download link in the chat. The design comes from your template, so it keeps your colors, fonts and logo. It needs Canva Pro or higher, because brand templates and autofill belong to those plans.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when a customer asks on WhatsApp for a proposal, an offer or a product sheet that your business delivers as a graphic piece. There is no trigger to configure: the Met assigned to the line runs the procedure inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Sales Met with Canva templates

Studio team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that already sells on the business's WhatsApp, with Canva connected. Its work ends when the customer gets the piece with their details, made on your brand template and not on an improvised design.

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Find the brand template

The Met searches your Canva account's brand templates for the one the skill names, for example "Personal offer". It always uses that template so every piece that goes out on WhatsApp looks like your brand.

  2. 2

Read which fields can be filled

The Met asks for the template's data fields: text such as name, product and price, or images. With that list it knows what to ask the customer and does not leave a field with the template's sample text.

  3. 3

Fill the template with the customer's details

With the details from the conversation, the Met fills the template and Canva creates a new design in your account. Each customer gets their own design, and the original template stays unchanged for the next person.

  4. 4

    Check how it looks

The Met fetches the design's thumbnail to check that the name fits, the price is in place and no long text was cut off. If something does not fit, it fixes it before exporting instead of sending a broken piece.

  5. 5

Fix a line of text if needed

If a text came out too long or with a typo, the Met opens an editing session on the design, changes that text and saves. Changes only reach the design when the session is saved; the brand template stays intact.

  6. 6

    Export and share the link

The Met checks which formats the design can be exported to, exports it as PNG to view in the chat or as PDF if it is a document, and shares the download link Canva returns in the conversation.

Questions about this automation

Yes, each piece stays as a design in your account. Your team should keep them in a folder or clean them up from Canva every so often.

Yes, if the template has an image field and the photo is already in your Canva account or at a public link Canva can upload. The Met does not make up product images.

Canva caps exports at 20 per minute and autofill at 60, with an overall cap of 300 requests per minute per user. For one conversation at a time that is plenty.

No. They get the download link to the exported file. The editable design stays in your Canva account, which only your team can open.
