Change your Google listing's hours and phone number from WhatsApp

Ask on WhatsApp to change the hours, phone or website on your Google listing: an AI agent builds the full week and publishes it once you approve.

How do I change my business hours on Google without opening the Google Business Profile listing?

You text your Met on WhatsApp "from Monday we open at 8 and close at 6". The Met finds your account and location, reads the hours published today and builds the full week with the change, because Google replaces the whole schedule and any missing day shows as closed. It shows you the week day by day and publishes it once you approve. With the phone number, website or description it does the same, changing only the field you asked for. One condition before you count on this: Google approves access to these APIs by request, and until that approval exists the Met tells you it cannot read or change the listing yet.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone on the team asks the Met on WhatsApp to change the listing's hours, phone number, website or description. Each change is on request and goes through your approval.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Internal Met that keeps your Google listing up to date

Social team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Google Business Profile connected, for the owner or whoever manages the listing: it is done when the hours or the detail you asked for are published exactly as you approved them.

5 steps · 5 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Find the business account

The Met lists the Google Business Profile accounts managed by the connected Google account and keeps your business's, which is the one the other tools need.

  2. 2

    Pick the location that changes

The Met lists the locations with their name, address and hours. If the change is for one location, it asks which one; if it is for all of them, it works them one by one, because each location is a separate listing.

  3. 3

    Read what is published today

The Met opens the location details: regular hours, special hours, phone, website and description. It starts from there so the change you asked for does not wipe out the days or details you did not mention.

  4. 4

    Publish the full week

The Met builds the week with your change and the days that stay the same, shows it to you day by day and, once you approve, publishes it with the confirmation the tool requires. A day missing from the list would show as closed.

  5. 5

Fix the phone number or website

If you asked to change the phone number, website or description, the Met sends only that field and leaves the rest as it was. It warns you that a details change can put the listing under Google review for a few days.

The Met solves none of these for you. If one is missing, the automation stops there.

Questions about this automation

Because Google replaces the whole schedule: anything missing from the list shows as closed. Showing you the week is how you check the other days stay the same.

Only by changing the regular hours, which you then have to set back. The tool does not load special hours for a single day, although the Met does read them if they are already published.

The Met does it location by location, because each one is a separate listing. You ask for the change once and it shows you each location before publishing.

It depends on Google's approval for the Business Profile APIs. Without it, the connector answers that it cannot read the listing; this procedure is written for when access is approved.
