Build your team's org chart in Lucid on WhatsApp and share it

An AI agent builds your team's org chart in Lucid from what you tell it on WhatsApp, sends it back as an image and shares it.

How do I build my business's org chart without sitting down to draw it?

A Met connected to Lucid first checks whether an org chart already exists in your Lucid account and opens it to start from there. With what you tell it on WhatsApp, who is who and whom they report to, it creates the new org chart in Lucid, exports it as a PNG image and sends it in the conversation for review. Once it is right, it creates a link to share it and, if you ask, shares it with the people who need it, such as a new hire or your accountant. The org chart stays in Lucid, but it is static: if the team changes, you ask the Met for a new one.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when the owner or someone in administration asks the Met on WhatsApp for the team's org chart and tells it who is who. A customer message does not trigger it.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Internal documents Met with Lucid

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that builds the business's documents, with Lucid connected. Its work ends when the org chart is in Lucid, reviewed and shared with whoever needs it.

6 steps · 6 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Check whether there is an org chart already

The Met searches your Lucid documents for a previous org chart. If it finds one, it does not start from scratch: it uses it as the base for the new one.

  2. 2

    Read the previous one

If there is one, the Met opens it and pulls its content to know who was there and whom they reported to, and only asks you about what changed.

  3. 3

    Create the org chart

With the list of people, roles and whom each one reports to, the Met creates the org chart in your Lucid account.

  4. 4

Send it back as an image

The Met exports the org chart as a PNG image and sends it to you on WhatsApp so you can review it without opening Lucid.

  5. 5

Create the link to share it

Once you approve it, the Met creates a link to share the document and sends it to you, so you can put it in the team handbook or wherever you need it.

  6. 6

    Share it with specific people

If you ask for someone in particular to see it, such as a new hire, the Met shares the document with that person. This only happens if the admin left that action switched on.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

Yes: the org chart stays in your Lucid account and you edit it there, or you ask the Met to build a new one with the change.

Yes: the connector also creates diagrams from a specification, mind maps and sequence diagrams. This procedure focuses on the org chart.

Whoever has access in Lucid or the link the Met creates. If it is sensitive information, share it with specific people instead of a link.

No: Lucid says its MCP server is available on the Free, Individual, Team and Enterprise plans. On Team or Enterprise accounts, an admin has to enable MCP access before connecting.
