Wistia and Meteor AI agents
Connect Wistia to a WhatsApp Met: find your videos, organize them into folders and tags, and check their stats and your webinars'.
How does Wistia connect to Meteor?
With the Wistia ready-made connector, your Met uses Wistia's official MCP server on your account, authorized with OAuth, and gets 34 tools. From WhatsApp it can find a video by name or by what is said in its transcript, change its title and description, move it to another folder and tag it. It checks the stats of a video, a folder or the whole account: trends, second by second engagement, traffic sources, pages where it is embedded, form conversions and the audience's languages. It also reads your channels, caption coverage and your webinars' numbers. Requesting an edit with Remix, Wistia's video editor, spends credits: those actions start switched off and the admin decides in Connections whether to turn them on.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Wistia
The video a customer asks for, in a minute
Someone on the team writes on WhatsApp "the video where we explain the warranty". The Met searches by name and by what is said in the transcript, and replies with the matching video.
Tidy up what was uploaded this week
The Met lists the new media, fixes their titles and descriptions, moves them to the right folder and applies the tags the account already uses, without inventing near duplicate tags.
Which video is doing the work
For a video, a folder or the whole account, the Met gets plays, trend, traffic sources, pages where it is embedded and its form conversions, and summarizes it for you.
How the next webinar is pacing
The Met finds the webinar, gets registrations day by day and tells you whether the pace reaches the goal you gave it. After the event, it gets attendance, retention and engagement.

The limits
What the Wistia integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before moving, tagging or editing. The admin decides in Connections which actions stay on.
-
It does not upload videos from WhatsApp: Wistia's upload opens an uploader on the user's screen, so the file is uploaded from Wistia.
-
It does not order captions, translations or dubbing: those actions may cost money on your account, start switched off in Met and this page does not list them.
-
It does not request stats for more than 2 years in a single date range: that is the cap Wistia sets.
Before you start
What you need to connect Wistia
- 1
A Wistia account with owner or manager permission
According to Wistia's guide, its MCP server is only available to account owners and managers. Start the connection with a user who has that permission.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Wistia → Connect. A Wistia window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Wistia and Meteor
Yes. Wistia's search also matches transcript text, so you can ask for the video by topic even if you do not remember its title.
Yes: registrations day by day, attendance, engagement, watch time and retention curves. The per registrant detail also exists, but it includes personal data.
Remix uses your Wistia account's credits. That is why create_remix and continue_remix start switched off: the admin turns them on in Connections if the business wants to pay for those edits. With them on, the Met can check how many credits you have left before requesting an edit.
You do, with your Wistia plan. Meteor does not resell Wistia: the connector uses your company's account.
