Runway and Meteor AI agents
Connect Runway to a Met: generate images and videos, animate a product photo, create a marketing video and translate an ad, with the official MCP.
How do I generate videos of my product with Runway from WhatsApp?
With the Runway ready connector, your Met generates images, video and audio with the Runway account the admin authorizes and the credits on your plan. It can animate a product photo, create a marketing video from the product's link or image, change a single thing in a video, move it to another aspect ratio, translate an ad into another language and create music, sound effects or a voice. Each generation becomes a task: the Met checks its status and shares the result once it is ready. It is Runway's official server. Because every generation uses credits, the generate, upscale and background removal actions start switched off: the admin decides in Connections which ones to turn on.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Runway
Animate a product photo that arrives on WhatsApp
You send the Met a product photo and how you want it to move. The Met uploads the image to Runway, uses it as the video's first frame and shares the result when the task finishes.
Create a marketing video from the product link
With the link to the product page in your store, or with its photo, the Met creates a marketing video. Before launching it, it can check how many credits are left on the plan.
Move an ad to another format or language
If you have a vertical video and need it horizontal, the Met extends the frame to the new aspect ratio. If the ad has to run in another language, it translates it.
Add music or a voice to a piece
The Met generates a music track, a sound effect or a voice from a text, to go with a promotion's video.
28 tools
Everything your Met can ask Runway for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.

The limits
What the Runway integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before generating. The generate actions start switched off and the admin chooses in Connections which ones to turn on; every generation uses credits from your plan.
-
It does not generate with Runway's Explore Mode: through this connection, generation only runs on credits.
-
It does not buy credits or change your plan. Purchases happen on Runway's site, never from the conversation.
-
It does not deliver the video instantly: each generation becomes a task and the result arrives when Runway finishes processing it.
-
It does not post to your social networks. It gives you the generated file; posting it is another step, with another integration or by hand.
Before you start
What you need to connect Runway
- 1
A Runway account with credits
Your business's Runway account, on a plan with credits. The available models depend on your plan. Usage runs on your account; Meteor does not resell Runway.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Runway → Connect. A Runway window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met; no API key is needed. The generate and upscale actions start switched off: the admin turns on the ones the business will pay for with its credits.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Runway and Meteor
Whatever it costs in Runway: each generation uses credits from your account just like in the app, and the cost depends on the model, resolution and other settings. The Met can check how many credits you have left before generating.
Yes. If the photo has a public address it goes straight through; if it is a file, the Met uploads it to Runway first and uses the address Runway returns.
Generating, editing, upscaling and running a workflow spend credits from your Runway plan, so they start switched off for the admin to decide which ones to turn on. The two background removal actions start switched off because their name contains "remove", even though they do not delete anything in your account.
No. Runway generates the file and the Met shares it with you. Posting it needs another social media integration, or you do it yourself.
