PayPal and Meteor AI agents

Connect PayPal to a WhatsApp Met: create and send invoices with a QR code, check payments and disputes and add shipment tracking with the official MCP.

How does PayPal connect to Meteor?

With the PayPal ready connector, your Met uses PayPal's official MCP server on your account, authorized once with your PayPal sign in. On WhatsApp it can create an invoice with the products and price the customer agreed to, send it to their email, generate the QR code to pay it, remind them if they have not paid and check whether it was paid. It also creates payment orders, lists transactions for a period, reviews disputes and adds the tracking number of a shipment. Cancelling invoices or subscriptions and refunding start turned off: the admin decides whether to turn them on. PayPal always handles the charge, with your account.

What it automates

What a Meteor Met does with PayPal

Charge with an invoice in the conversation

The customer accepts the proposal and your Met creates the invoice in PayPal, sends it to their email and leaves the QR code on WhatsApp so they pay it from their phone.

Remind about an unpaid invoice

A scheduled task lists the unpaid invoices and the Met sends the PayPal reminder, and also lets the customer know on WhatsApp.

Add tracking when the order ships

When your team ships, the Met adds the tracking number and carrier to the PayPal transaction, and the buyer sees it in their PayPal account.

Review a dispute before answering it

For a claim, the Met reads the dispute and the transaction and leaves the team a summary. Accepting the claim only happens if the admin left that action on.

The limits

What the PayPal integration does NOT do

We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.

Before you start

What you need to connect PayPal

  1. 1

A PayPal account to get paid

The PayPal account you invoice and receive payments with. The tools you see depend on what PayPal enables for that account.

  2. 2

    Connect it in Met

In Met go to Connections → PayPal → Connect. The PayPal sign in opens and you authorize access. Nobody asks for your password in the chat.

  3. 3

    Decide which actions stay on

The workspace admin chooses which actions stay on. Cancelling and refunding start turned off, and accepting disputes is worth reviewing before turning it on.
