Charge over WhatsApp with a PayPal invoice and its QR code

An AI agent creates the PayPal invoice for what was agreed, sends it, leaves the customer the QR code on WhatsApp and checks whether they paid.

How do I charge with PayPal a customer who buys over WhatsApp, without building the invoice by hand?

A Met connected to PayPal takes what was agreed in the conversation, creates the PayPal invoice with the customer's email and each product or service with its quantity and price, and sends it. Then it generates the QR code for that invoice and leaves it for the customer on WhatsApp so they pay from their phone. When the customer says they paid, the Met checks the invoice in PayPal and replies with its real status. If they write again without paying, the Met sends the PayPal reminder. Cancelling a sent invoice starts turned off. Creating and sending depend on the admin turning those actions on.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when the customer accepts the purchase in the WhatsApp conversation, or when they write again to say they paid. There is no trigger to set up: the Met assigned to the line handles it inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Sales Met that charges in the chat

Sales team

It is the Met that carries the conversation to payment. Its work ends when the right invoice is sent, the customer has a way to pay it and the Met can say, based on what PayPal says, whether it was paid.

6 steps · 6 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Create the invoice with what was agreed

The Met asks for the customer's email and builds the PayPal invoice with each product or service, its quantity and unit price, as they were left in the conversation. If something is missing, it asks instead of filling it from memory.

  2. 2

Send it to the customer's email

With the invoice created, the Met sends it from PayPal to the recipient. The customer gets it in their email with the PayPal pay button, in addition to what the Met leaves in the chat.

  3. 3

Leave the QR code on WhatsApp

The Met generates the invoice QR code and shares it with the customer in the conversation, so they pay from their phone without looking for the email.

  4. 4

    Check whether it was paid

When the customer says they paid, the Met checks the invoice in PayPal and reads its status. It replies with what PayPal recorded: paid, sent and unpaid or cancelled, without asking for a screenshot of the receipt.

  5. 5

Find the invoice when the customer has no number

If the customer writes days later without the invoice number, the Met lists invoices with filters and finds theirs by recipient and date before answering.

  6. 6

Remind about the payment if it is still open

If the invoice is still unpaid when the customer writes again, the Met sends the PayPal reminder and shares the QR code in the chat again. This step only happens if the reminder action is on.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

PayPal decides that based on your country and account. The Met sends the invoice and the QR code; the payment page and the methods it accepts belong to PayPal.

The invoice goes out in the currency your PayPal account allows. Write in the Met instructions which currency you invoice in so it does not change it in the chat.

Since invoices are not edited with these tools, someone with the cancel action turned on voids the invoice and the Met creates a new one with the right price.

Your PayPal account, with its fees. Met does not charge for the calls your Met makes to PayPal.
