Meta Ads and Meteor AI agents
Connect Meta Ads to a Meteor AI agent: build Facebook and Instagram campaigns, click-to-WhatsApp ads, budgets and performance, all from a chat.
How does Meta Ads connect to Meteor?
Meteor connects to the Meta ads API and gives your Met 12 tools to build and run Facebook and Instagram campaigns: assemble the campaign with its ad sets and its ads, target by interests and audiences, set the daily budget, pause, resume and read what it spent and what it brought in. The one most used writes the copy and the headline and builds the whole click-to-WhatsApp campaign in a single step, already wired to your workspace number, so the person who clicks lands in the same conversation your Met is already handling. Everything it creates is born paused: nothing starts spending until you turn it on.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Meta Ads
From the ad to the chat, with no form in between
You ask your Met for the campaign with the budget and the image, review it and turn it on. Whoever clicks opens WhatsApp on your number and is handled by the same Met already answering there, with no form to fill and no callback to wait for.
Asking your ads how they are doing, in the same chat
Instead of opening the ads manager, you ask what was spent this week and how many conversations it brought. It can break the number down by day or by ad to show which piece is doing the work.
Cutting what is not working without waiting for Monday
With performance in view, pausing an ad or moving budget is the same conversation. An ad whose cost ran away gets paused when it shows, not when someone opens the weekly report.
One Met across several brands
If you run more than one ad account or more than one Page, your Met lists them and works on the one you name, with no session to switch.
12 tools
Everything your Met can ask Meta Ads for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
listar_cuentas_publicitarias | Lists the ad accounts you can reach, with their currency and status. |
listar_paginas | Lists the Facebook Pages and Instagram profiles available to advertise with. |
listar_campanas | Lists the campaigns on an account with their objective, status and budget. |
ver_rendimiento | Returns spend, impressions, clicks, reach, cost per result and conversations started, by day, by ad set or by ad. |
crear_campana_whatsapp | Builds a click-to-WhatsApp campaign in a single step, already wired to the workspace phone number. |
crear_campana | Creates a campaign with the objective you choose, when it is not about opening chats. |
crear_conjunto_de_anuncios | Creates the ad set inside a campaign and is where targeting lives: interests, behaviours, saved audiences, location and age, along with the budget. |
crear_anuncio | Writes the ad inside an ad set, with its copy, its headline and its image, and leaves it paused. |
actualizar_presupuesto | Changes the daily budget of a campaign or of an ad set. |
pausar | Pauses a campaign, ad set or ad. It stops spending immediately. |
activar | Turns back on what was paused. It is the only step that puts money in motion. |
ver_detalle | Shows the full setup of a campaign before you change anything on it. |
The limits
What the Meta Ads integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not turn anything on by itself. Everything it creates is born paused and activating is your call, said out loud. This is not configurable, and that is deliberate.
-
It does not measure conversions or send events back to Meta. It reads performance to decide what to adjust, not to account for sales.
-
It does not make the image. It writes the ad copy and the headline, but the visual is yours, published at a public URL, because that is what Meta downloads when the ad is built.
-
It does not build custom audiences from your own data, and it does not handle product catalogs. It targets with what Meta already offers and with the audiences you have saved.
Before you start
What you need to connect Meta Ads
- 1
A Meta ad account
The account you already advertise from, or a new one in Meta Business Manager. Meteor works on yours; it does not create or bill through one of its own.
- 2
An ads permission for your account
Authorized once so your Met can create and manage campaigns on your behalf. Without it, it can read the conversation but not touch the ads.
- 3
A Facebook Page
Every campaign needs one: it is the identity the ad appears under. If you already publish to Facebook or Instagram from Meteor, it is the same Page you have connected.
- 4
A connected WhatsApp number, only for click-to-chat ads
The number you already use in Meteor to answer. Click-to-chat ads pick it up from there, so there is nothing extra to set up.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Meta Ads and Meteor
No. Everything it creates is born paused and activating is a separate step that asks you to confirm with the daily budget in view. A Met cannot put money in motion on its own, not even if you asked for it earlier in the same sentence.
It writes it: the copy and the headline are its work, and it leaves the ad built and paused for you to review. The image is yours to supply, because it is the one thing it does not generate from inside the ad.
Whoever you define. The ad set is built from interests, behaviours, location, age and the audiences already saved in your account. What it does not do is build a new audience out of your own database.
Publishing is organic and free: it goes out on your profile and reaches people who already follow you. Advertising is paid and reaches people who do not know you yet. They are two separate skills and you can have one without the other.
Yes, and it is what it does best. It builds the whole campaign in one step and wires it to the number you already answer in Meteor, so the conversation the ad opens lands where your Met is already replying.
It tells you what Meta reports: spend, clicks, reach, cost per result and conversations started. Attribution from the click all the way to the payment is not what this skill does.
Yes, and it warns you first when the jump is large. Raising a budget sharply resets the learning phase of the Meta algorithm, so a big increase is flagged before it happens, not after performance changed.
