How do I use Magnific, formerly Freepik, from a WhatsApp Met?

With the Magnific ready connector, formerly Freepik, your Met uses Magnific's official MCP server on your account, authorized once with OAuth and without an API key. From WhatsApp it can upload the photo someone sends you, remove its background, enhance it with Magnific's upscaler, crop or resize it, generate images, SVG, video, speech or 3D models, and search your past creations to start from one. Each generation spends your Magnific account's credits based on the model and resolution, and the Met can check your balance before starting. Deleting folders starts turned off.

What a Meteor Met does with Magnific

Get a customer's photo ready

A customer sends a photo on WhatsApp to print or publish. Your Met uploads it to your Magnific account, removes the background, enhances it with the upscaler and sends the result back in the same conversation.

Prepare a new product photo

Someone on the team sends the Met a product photo. The Met crops it, resizes it to the size your catalog needs and saves the result in the products folder.

Generate a piece from text

With a description and, if you want, a reference image, the Met generates the image, waits for it to finish and shares the result. It can also request it in SVG for a logo or an icon.

Start from what you already made

The Met searches your past creations for the one closest to the request and uses it as a starting point, instead of starting from scratch and spending more credits.

Check the balance before spending

Before a large generation, the Met checks how many credits your account has left and warns you if they are not enough, instead of leaving the job half done.

The limits

What the Magnific integration does NOT do

We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.

It does not give away credits. Every generation spends your Magnific account's credits, based on the model and resolution chosen, just like in the app.
It does not ask you for confirmation in the chat before generating. The admin chooses which actions stay on; deleting folders starts turned off.
It does not replace the Magnific API. For scheduled integrations with an API key, Magnific keeps its REST API; this connector uses the MCP server with OAuth.
It does not post on social media. It delivers the image or video; publishing it is the job of another integration or your team.
It does not use the old Freepik server. api.freepik.com/mcp is deprecated and redirects to mcp.magnific.com, which is the one Met connects to.

Before you start

What you need to connect Magnific

A Magnific account with credits

Any Magnific account works. The tools use the same credit balance as the app, so the Met can generate as long as your account has credits.

Connect it in Met

In Met, open Connections → Magnific → Connect. You sign in to Magnific in the browser and approve access; there is no API key to paste.

Decide which actions stay on

The workspace admin chooses which actions stay on. Deleting folders starts turned off.

Questions about Magnific and Meteor

For this connector, yes: Freepik's MCP server, api.freepik.com/mcp, is deprecated and redirects to Magnific's. If you used the Freepik one, this is what replaces it.

It depends on the model and resolution chosen, and it comes out of your Magnific account's credits. Meteor does not charge for the calls your Met makes to Magnific.
