Hunter.io and Meteor AI agents
Connect Hunter to a WhatsApp Met: find and verify work emails, enrich the prospect and save them as a lead with the official MCP.
How does Hunter.io connect to Meteor?
With the Hunter ready connector, your WhatsApp Met uses your Hunter account to prospect with real data. It finds a person's work email from their name and company, lists the contacts at a domain, verifies whether an email is deliverable and enriches the person or the company. It also searches companies by industry, size or location without spending credits, saves the prospect as a lead without overwriting data you already had, adds them to a sequence and sends them to your connected CRM. It is the official Hunter server: it works with all Hunter plans, and every search or verification spends credits from your plan.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Hunter.io
Find the decision maker at a company
A prospect writes on WhatsApp from their company and asks for someone in sales to reach out. The Met lists the domain's contacts with the department or seniority you care about and finds the email of the person who decides.
Do not write to an email that bounces
Before saving the email the prospect gave, the Met verifies it and tells them if Hunter says it is not deliverable, to ask for another one in the same conversation.
Save the prospect without duplicating them
The Met checks whether the email is already a lead and, if not, saves it in the right list without overwriting the data you already had on that person.
Move them to the sequence or the CRM
Adding to a sequence starts off until the admin turns it on; with it on, the Met adds the lead to a Hunter sequence. It can also send it to the CRM you have connected in Hunter.

The limits
What the Hunter.io integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before writing or sending. Adding recipients to a sequence that already started, or starting a sequence, sends real emails from your account.
-
It does not start an unprepared sequence. Hunter requires the first email to have a subject and body and the sequence to have a connected sender; connecting the mailbox is done in Hunter.
-
It does not search for free. Finding, verifying and enriching spend credits from your Hunter plan; searching companies, counting emails, saving leads and running sequences do not.
-
It does not return people with the company search. find_people only counts emails per company; for real names the Met uses the domain search.
-
It does not create the record in your CRM instantly. The CRM push is queued and Hunter returns how many leads it sent, not the result of each one.
Before you start
What you need to connect Hunter.io
- 1
A Hunter account
You can create one for free at hunter.io. The MCP works with all Hunter plans, and every search or verification spends credits from your plan.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Hunter.io → Connect. A Hunter window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Hunter.io and Meteor
It depends on the action: finding an email charges 1 credit if found, verifying 1 per email and the domain search 1 per 10 emails. Searching companies is free.
Only through a Hunter sequence that already has its first email and sender, and if the admin turns on the actions to add recipients or start the sequence, which start off.
Not if it saves with the action that only creates when missing. To update a lead on purpose there is another action, which does overwrite its fields.
You do, with your Hunter plan. Meteor does not resell Hunter: the connector uses your account and your credits.
