Freshdesk and Meteor AI agents
Connect Freshdesk to a Meteor AI agent: create tickets from WhatsApp, check their status and answer from your knowledge base.
How does Freshdesk connect to Meteor?
With Freshdesk connected, your WhatsApp Met opens a ticket in your help desk when a customer reports a problem, links it to their contact and later tells them its status when they ask again. It also reads the ticket conversations, leaves internal notes for your team and answers with the articles of your Freshdesk knowledge base. It uses Freshdesk's official server, available on the Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans, and each action counts against your plan's yearly allowance.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Freshdesk
Open a ticket from WhatsApp
When a customer reports a fault, your Met finds or creates their contact, opens the ticket with what they said and gives them the number so they can follow up.
Say where a case stands
If the customer writes again, your Met finds their tickets, reads the status and the latest conversation, and tells them where it stands without anyone on your team looking it up.
Send the case to the right group
With the list of agent groups, your Met puts the ticket in the right one, such as warranties or billing, and adds an internal note with the context of the conversation.
Answer from the knowledge base
Before opening a ticket, your Met checks the articles in your Freshdesk knowledge base and, if the answer is already written, shares it with the customer.

The limits
What the Freshdesk integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not delete tickets, contacts or companies. None of the 37 tools of the official server removes a record.
-
It does not work with custom domains. The connection uses your freshdesk.com subdomain, even if your help portal shows a different domain.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before writing. The workspace admin chooses which actions stay on.
-
It is not on every plan. Freshdesk offers it on Growth, Pro and Enterprise, with a yearly action allowance: 1,200 on Growth, 6,000 on Pro and 12,000 on Enterprise.
-
Your company pays for Freshdesk usage under its plan. If the action allowance runs out, extra packs are bought from Freshdesk; Met does not charge Energy for these calls.
Before you start
What you need to connect Freshdesk
- 1
Freshdesk on the Growth, Pro or Enterprise plan
The MCP server applies to the latest Freshdesk 2021 and to Freshdesk Unified Omni 2026. On other plans it has not been available since September 10, 2026.
- 2
Your API key and your subdomain
In Freshdesk you open your profile and copy your API key. The subdomain is what comes before .freshdesk.com in your account address.
- 3
Connect it in Met
In Met, go to Connections, search for Freshdesk, type the subdomain, paste the key and tap Connect. Met stores it encrypted and never shows it again.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Freshdesk and Meteor
As many as your plan allows. Freshdesk counts each successful call as an action: Growth includes 1,200 a year, Pro 6,000 and Enterprise 12,000, with a per minute limit of 25, 50 and 100.
The ticket reply stays in Freshdesk and goes out through the ticket channel, such as the requester's email. The internal note, on the other hand, is only visible to your team.
Because Freshdesk only publishes its MCP server at your freshdesk.com subdomain address. Your custom domain keeps working for your customers; the subdomain is what you use to connect.
Only if your Freshdesk account restricts access by IP. In that case you have to allow the ranges Freshdesk publishes for its data center.
