Buffer and Meteor AI agents
Connect Buffer to a Met: schedule posts on your channels, save ideas, use templates and check how your posts perform with the official MCP.
How does Buffer connect to Meteor?
With the Buffer ready connector, your Met works on the Buffer account the admin authorizes. It lists your channels and their posting schedule, schedules a post in the queue or at an exact date, or saves it as a draft, and edits posts already scheduled. It also saves ideas for later, uses your templates and adds up your posts' metrics over a date range. It is Buffer's official server: usage counts against your plan's limits, and deleting and the two generic API actions start switched off.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Buffer
Schedule in each channel's queue
Someone on the team gives the Met the text and image; the Met lists your channels and schedules the post in each one's queue, which Buffer spreads out according to that channel's schedule.
Publish at an exact time
If the post has a date, the Met checks the current time in your account's zone and schedules it for the requested day and time, always in the future.
Check why a post failed
If a post did not go out, the Met reads it in full and reports the error Buffer stored, so your team reconnects the channel or changes the piece.
Tell how your posts did
The Met adds up the metrics of a period's posts, for example the month's reactions and comments on LinkedIn, and answers with the totals.
20 tools
Everything your Met can ask Buffer for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.

The limits
What the Buffer integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not use Buffer's two generic API actions until the admin turns them on: querying and changing through GraphQL start switched off, as do deleting posts and templates.
-
It does not see real-time metrics: Buffer refreshes them once a day, so they can lag the social network by up to a day.
-
It does not save video in an idea: according to Buffer, ideas accept an image, GIF, link or document through the public API.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before scheduling or editing. The admin chooses in Connections which actions stay on.
-
It does not skip your plan's limits: every call counts against Buffer's API limits in 15-minute, 24-hour and 30-day windows.
Before you start
What you need to connect Buffer
- 1
A Buffer account with your channels connected
You need a Buffer account with the networks connected to the organization the Met will use. Usage limits depend on your Buffer plan.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Buffer → Connect. A Buffer window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Buffer and Meteor
The ones Buffer documents for scheduling: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Business, Mastodon, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky and Start Page.
Yes. When scheduling it can save it as a draft instead of putting it in the queue, so your team reviews it in Buffer.
Deleting posts and templates cannot be undone, and the two generic API actions allow almost anything. That is why the admin decides whether to turn them on.
You do, with your own Buffer plan. Meteor does not resell Buffer: the connector uses your company's account.
