Change prices and stock in your Tiendanube store from WhatsApp
You tell an AI agent on WhatsApp which price or how much stock changes, and it updates your Tiendanube store without opening the admin.
How do I change prices and stock in my Tiendanube store from WhatsApp without opening the admin?
You text your Met on WhatsApp "twenty black M shirts arrived, and the classic jeans go up to 129.900". The Met finds each product in your catalog, confirms which product and variant it is, checks whether an active promotion changes what the shopper sees, and updates the stock and price of those variants. It also tells you which products are about to run out if you ask, and hides or republishes the ones you point to. The Met does not ask for confirmation in the chat before writing: what it can change depends on the actions the admin left on in Connections.
What starts it
When someone asks for it
It starts when someone on the team texts the Met on WhatsApp a price change, a stock arrival or a product that needs hiding. Each change is on request.
A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.
Who runs it
Internal Met that keeps your Tiendanube catalog up to date
This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Tiendanube connected, for the owner or whoever handles inventory: it is done when the price, stock or visibility you asked for is set that way in the store.

5 steps · 5 tools
The procedure, step by step
Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.
- 1
Find the product
The Met searches the catalog for the product you named, with free-text search, and confirms which product and which variant changes, so it does not touch the wrong size or color.
- 2
Check for a promotion
Before changing the price, the Met checks which promotions apply to that product. If one is active, it warns you that the shopper will see the price with that discount on top.
- 3
Update price and stock
The Met changes stock, price or both on the variants you confirmed. It can do it on up to 50 variants at once, so a whole stock arrival fits in a single message from you.
- 4
See what is running out
If you ask what needs restocking, the Met lists products filtered by maximum stock and tells you which ones have few units left. Your supplier order comes from what the store says.
- 5
Hide or republish
If a product sold out and is not coming back soon, the Met hides it from the store; when it arrives, it publishes it again. It can do this with up to 20 products at a time.
Before you start
What you need ready
The Met solves none of these for you. If one is missing, the automation stops there.
-
A Tiendanube store with admin access
Authorization is given by someone with admin permissions on the store, and each connection works for a single store.
-
Tiendanube connected with writes on
In Met, open Connections → Tiendanube → Connect and sign in with the store account. The admin leaves the price, stock and visibility actions switched on.
-
An internal Met on WhatsApp
A team Met with Tiendanube connected that you text on WhatsApp. It is not the Met that serves your shoppers: it is for whoever handles inventory.
The limits
What this automation does NOT solve
Better said here than discovered halfway through the rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before changing a price or stock: if the action is on, it runs it. The admin decides which writes stay on.
-
It does not create orders or change their status: Tiendanube's MCP lists orders but does not write them.
-
It does not delete products in this procedure: deleting starts off, and hiding is enough to take something out of view.
-
It does not sync stock with another channel, such as a warehouse or a marketplace: it changes your Tiendanube store's.
-
It does not alert you on its own when something sells out: in this procedure the Met checks stock when you ask.
FAQ
Questions about this automation
Yes. The price and stock tool changes up to 50 variants at once, and hiding or publishing takes up to 20 products per operation.
The Met checks that product's promotions before changing the price and warns you if the shopper will see a discount on top. It does not change the promotion unless you ask.
Not in the chat: if the action is on, it changes what you asked for. That is why only the people who handle inventory should text this Met.
Deleting products starts off in Tiendanube and cannot be undone. This procedure does not use it: to take a product out of view, the Met hides it.
