Zoom and Meteor AI agents
Connect Zoom to a Meteor AI agent: search your meetings, get summaries, next steps and recordings, with 8 official tools.
How does Zoom connect to Meteor?
With Zoom connected, your Met searches the meetings of the authorized account, brings back what each one left behind, such as the summary, the recording, whiteboards and documents, and from cloud recordings it gets the transcript, the summary, the next steps and the playback link. With that it tells a customer what was agreed or prepares the note for your team. It also creates a Zoom document from text and reads existing ones. Zoom's official server gives it 8 tools, all on the account of whoever authorized the connection.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Zoom
Tell the customer what was agreed
When a customer asks on WhatsApp what came out of their meeting, your Met finds it by date and topic, confirms which one it is and answers with the summary and next steps Zoom saved.
Send the recording link
If the meeting was recorded to the cloud, the Met gets the playback link and shares it with whoever could not attend, without anyone on the team having to look for it.
Leave the follow up note in Zoom
From the internal chat, your team asks the Met for a meeting note. It writes the text with the summary and tasks, and saves it as a Zoom Canvas document.
Find when something was discussed
Your team asks in which meeting a price or a deadline came up, and the Met searches the meetings and reads the recording transcript to answer with what was said.
8 tools
Everything your Met can ask Zoom for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.

The limits
What the Zoom integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not schedule, move or cancel meetings. This Zoom server has no tools to create or change meetings; it only searches, reads and creates documents.
-
It does not see more than the Zoom account that authorized the connection sees. The recordings it lists belong to that user, not to the whole company.
-
It does not make up a summary Zoom did not produce. If the meeting did not have AI Companion summary and smart recording turned on, search and assets return little or nothing.
-
It does not ask you for confirmation in the chat before writing. The workspace admin chooses which actions stay on, such as creating documents in Canvas or Hub.
-
It does not pay your Zoom plan. Usage runs on your company's account and plan; Meteor does not resell the service.
Before you start
What you need to connect Zoom
- 1
An OAuth app in the Zoom App Marketplace
The admin goes to marketplace.zoom.us, under Develop → Build App creates a general app with user OAuth, adds the redirect URL Met shows and grants the permissions of the tools you will use, such as meeting:read:search or cloud_recording:read:content. Copy its Client ID.
- 2
Connect Zoom in Met
In Met, open Connections → Zoom → Connect, paste your app's Client ID and tap Connect. The Zoom window opens so you sign in and authorize Met.
- 3
AI Companion summary and smart recording
In the Zoom web portal, under account settings, AI Companion section, the admin turns on Smart Recording and Meeting Summary. Without them, meetings leave no summary or next steps the Met can read.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Zoom and Meteor
Because Zoom's server does not let Met register itself. The app is yours and in it you decide which permissions Met gets; each tool needs its own.
Not with this connector: its tools search and read meetings, recordings and documents, and create documents, but they do not create meetings. To schedule, use a calendar connector.
Search returns 50 results per page by default and up to 300. The recordings list returns 30 by default and also up to 300, with pagination to continue.
Your company, with its Zoom account and plan. Met does not charge for the calls your Met makes to Zoom.
