Otterly.AI and Meteor AI agents
Connect Otterly.AI to a Met: measure your brand in AI search engines, which sites they cite, what they recommend and whether your site is AI ready.
How does Otterly.AI connect to Meteor?
With the Otterly.AI ready connector, your Met reads how your brand shows up in AI search engines, with your Otterly.AI account. It has 36 tools: it checks your plan and how many calls you have left, goes through your workspaces, prompts and AI engines, pulls the stats of your brand reports, the collected answers, the most cited URLs and domains and the recommendations to improve. It also reads AI bot visits to your site, GEO audits and query fan outs, and if your account has write permission, it creates audits, prompts and notes. Every call, except the plan one, counts against the MCP limit of your Otterly.AI plan.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Otterly.AI
See how your brand shows up
You ask the Met on WhatsApp how your brand is doing in AI search engines. The Met pulls the report stats: coverage, ranking against competitors with sentiment and breakdown by engine.
Know which sites they cite
The Met pulls the period's most cited domains and URLs and, for a given URL, its citation history and the change against the previous period.
Check whether your site is AI ready
With write permission on your account, the Met creates a content or crawlability audit of a page and brings you the AI readiness, PageSpeed and bot access scores.
See which AI bots visit your site
If you have a logs connector in Otterly.AI, the Met sums up AI bot visits to your domain and the pages they visit most.
Ask for the recommendations
The Met lists the report's recommendations to improve your brand's visibility and sums them up by engine.
36 tools
Everything your Met can ask Otterly.AI for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
get_account_info | Returns the plan and its end date, the period's usage and the limits for prompts, GEO audits, API requests and MCP calls. It is free and does not count against the MCP limit. |
list_workspaces | Lists the workspaces your account has access to. |
list_workspace_tags | Lists a workspace's tags, with their color and how many prompts each has. |
list_workspace_prompts | Lists the prompts monitored in a workspace. |
list_engines | Lists the available AI engines and the countries each one supports. |
list_brand_reports | Lists the brand reports, with the option to limit them to one workspace. |
get_brand_report | Returns a brand report's details, with its competitors, countries and tags. |
get_brand_report_stats | Returns aggregated stats: brand coverage history, brand ranks with sentiment, top domains and engine breakdown. |
list_brand_report_prompts | Lists the report's prompts with their brand and domain mentions, for a date range and a country. |
get_brand_report_prompt | Returns a prompt's metrics: coverage history, ranks, sentiment, domain categories and tags. |
list_brand_report_prompt_ai_responses | Lists the AI answers collected for a prompt, with their content, brand mentions and citations. |
list_brand_report_citations | Lists the URLs cited in a report, filtered by AI engine, tag and search. |
get_brand_report_citation_stats | Returns the most cited domains, the share of citations and the most cited URLs over a date range. |
list_brand_report_citation_prompts | Lists the prompts that cited a specific URL over a date range. |
get_brand_report_citation_history | Returns a URL's citation history: total, change against the previous period and daily breakdown by engine. |
list_brand_report_recommendations | Lists the recommendations to improve the brand's visibility, optionally filtered by engine. |
list_brand_report_annotations | Lists the annotations on a report's charts, both dated notes and recommendation markers. |

get_brand_report_agent_stats | Sums up AI bot visits to your domain: total visits, pages visited, the busiest engine and the totals per engine. |
list_brand_report_agent_pages | Breaks down bot visits by URL, busiest page first, with the split per engine. |
list_brand_report_agents | Breaks down visits by bot, with its name, engine, category and visit count. |
list_crawlability_checks | Lists a workspace's crawlability audits, with the robots.txt analysis and bot access. |
get_crawlability_check | Returns the full results of a crawlability audit. |
list_content_checks | Lists a workspace's content and AI readiness audits. |
get_content_check | Returns a content audit's results: AI readiness, PageSpeed and structure and dynamic content scores. |
list_query_fan_outs | Lists a workspace's query fan outs. Each one expands a query into the related ones AI search engines may generate. |
get_query_fan_out | Returns a fan out with its related queries per AI engine: query, type, intent and reasoning. |
create_crawlability_check | Creates a crawlability audit for a URL. |
create_content_check | Creates a content and AI readiness audit for a URL. |
create_query_fan_out | Generates the fan out of a query. It runs in the background. |
create_prompts | Creates prompts in a workspace and starts monitoring them. They are checked against the workspace's remaining prompts; text and country cannot change later. |
delete_prompt | Deletes a prompt and removes it from the reports it was in. It starts off. |
update_prompt_tags | Replaces the tags assigned to a prompt. |
add_prompts_to_brand_report | Adds existing prompts to a brand report. Prompts already there are not duplicated. |
remove_prompts_from_brand_report | Removes prompts from a report. Their citation history in that report is lost, and adding them back only reprocesses 7 days. It starts off. |
create_brand_report_annotation | Adds a dated note to a brand report's charts. |
The limits
What the Otterly.AI integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not change what AI search engines say. It measures, audits and recommends; the work on your site is still yours.
-
It does not query without using your plan. Every call, except the one that returns the plan, counts against the period's MCP call limit. The plan one keeps working even once the limit is reached.
-
It does not measure bot visits without a logs connector. Without it, metrics come back empty, which is not the same as zero: nobody is measuring.
-
It does not write if your account has no write permission. In that case the write tools do not even appear.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before writing: the admin decides in Connections which actions stay on. Deleting a prompt and removing prompts from a report start off.
-
It does not use the Otterly.AI public API keys. The connection is OAuth only.
Before you start
What you need to connect Otterly.AI
- 1
An Otterly.AI account
An Otterly.AI account with your workspaces and brand reports. The permissions and workspaces the Met sees are your account's.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Otterly.AI → Connect. An Otterly.AI window opens so you sign in and authorize Met.
- 3
Write permission to create
Only if you want the Met to create audits, prompts or notes: your Otterly.AI account needs write permission. Without it, the Met only reads.
- 4
A logs connector for bot visits
Only to measure AI bot visits: connect a log source to the report in the Otterly.AI app.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Otterly.AI and Meteor
The Met checks your plan with the account tool, which returns the period's usage and limits. That call is free and works even after the limit runs out.
Because the report has no logs connector. Empty is not zero: it means nobody is measuring. Connect a log source in the Otterly.AI app.
No. A prompt's text and country cannot change after it is created; only its tags can. For a different text you create a new prompt.
Lists come in pages of 25 results by default and 100 at most. The country goes as a two letter ISO code.
You do, with your Otterly.AI plan. Met does not charge for the queries your Met makes to Otterly.AI and Meteor does not resell the service.
