OneSignal and Meteor AI agents
Connect OneSignal to a Met: send push notifications, emails or SMS, check their delivery and manage users and segments with the official MCP.
How does OneSignal connect to Meteor?
With the OneSignal ready connector, your Met works on the OneSignal apps the authorizing account can access. It finds a user, creates one, adds an email, SMS or push subscription and updates their tags. It also lists your messages, opens one with its delivery stats, checks templates and segments and reviews outcomes. If the admin leaves it on, it sends a push notification, an email or an SMS. It is OneSignal's official server, free and in open beta: calls count against your OneSignal API limits, and unsubscribing an email starts switched off.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with OneSignal
Sign up whoever asks for your alerts
When someone asks on WhatsApp to be alerted by email or SMS, the Met looks them up, creates them if they do not exist and adds the subscription, with the tags your team uses to segment.
Check whether an alert arrived
If a customer says they did not get the notification, the Met finds the message among the recent ones and opens its delivery stats to tell them what happened.
Send a one-off alert
If the admin leaves it on, someone on the team asks the Met for an alert to a segment, for example "the sold-out product is back", and the Met sends it with one of your templates.
Tell how your messages performed
The Met checks your messages' outcomes and answers with the figures OneSignal has on record, without calculating them by hand.

The limits
What the OneSignal integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not store your customers' data: according to OneSignal, its MCP server does not store subscribers, messages or exports.
-
It does not unsubscribe an email until the admin turns that on: that action starts switched off.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before sending. Sending is the highest impact action; the admin decides in Connections whether to leave it on.
-
It does not work without access to the app: during the open beta, OneSignal may need to enable your app's access before the non-utility tools are available.
-
It does not skip your limits: every call counts against the normal OneSignal API limits, and the server rate limits tool calls.
Before you start
What you need to connect OneSignal
- 1
A OneSignal account with access to your apps
You need a OneSignal account with permission over the apps the Met will use. A single connection covers every app that account manages.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → OneSignal → Connect. A OneSignal window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about OneSignal and Meteor
No. The connection uses OneSignal sign-in: you authorize once and there is no key to copy or rotate.
In OneSignal, from your account settings, in the connected apps section. In Met you can also disconnect OneSignal from Connections.
OneSignal says it is free, but every call counts against your normal OneSignal API limits, and what you send runs on your OneSignal account.
You do, with your own OneSignal plan. Meteor does not resell OneSignal: the connector uses your company's account.
