Google Ads and Meteor AI agents
Connect Google Ads to a Meteor AI agent: build search campaigns, adjust budgets, pause what is not working and query any data in the account.
How does Google Ads connect to Meteor?
Meteor connects to the Google Ads API and gives your Met 11 tools to run the account from a chat: list what is live, read cost, clicks and conversions, change budgets, pause and resume campaigns, and build a complete search campaign with its ad group, the ad copy and the keywords. It also answers any question about the account the other tools do not cover, such as audiences or search terms. Everything it creates is born paused: nothing starts spending until you turn it on.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Google Ads
Asking the account instead of going in to look
What was spent yesterday, which campaign has the most expensive click, which search terms are bringing people in. These are questions in the chat, and the answer comes from the live account, not from a report someone exported last week.
Stopping the spend the day it runs away
A campaign that blew past its cost gets paused, or its budget cut, in the same conversation where it was spotted, with no wait for someone to open the platform.
The search campaign built end to end
You say what you want to advertise and with what budget, and your Met builds the campaign, the group, the ad copy and the keywords. It stays paused for you to review: what it saves you is the assembly, not the decision to spend.
Questions a report does not have room for
The query tool reaches any table in the account, so odd questions, like which ad ate the budget in a given week or which keyword stopped showing, get answered without building a new report.
11 tools
Everything your Met can ask Google Ads for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
listar_cuentas | Lists the Google Ads accounts you can reach. |
listar_campanas | Lists the campaigns on an account with their type, status and daily budget. |
ver_rendimiento | Returns cost, impressions, clicks, click-through rate, average cost per click and conversions, for the whole account or for one campaign. |
consultar | Answers any question about the account the other tools do not cover: keywords, ads, audiences or search terms. Read only. |
crear_campana_busqueda | Creates a search campaign with its daily budget. It is born paused. |
crear_grupo_de_anuncios | Creates an ad group inside a campaign, with its cost-per-click bid. |
crear_anuncio_de_busqueda | Writes the search ad inside a group, with its headlines, its descriptions and the address it sends people to. |
agregar_palabras_clave | Loads the keywords for an ad group, with their match type, which is what decides the searches that trigger the ad. |
actualizar_presupuesto | Changes the daily budget of a campaign. |
pausar | Pauses a campaign. It stops spending immediately. |
activar | Resumes a paused campaign. It is the only step that puts money in motion. |
The limits
What the Google Ads integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not turn anything on by itself. What it creates is born paused and activating is your call, said out loud.
-
It does not decide the bidding strategy or split budget across campaigns. It runs what you ask and shows you the result; it does not replace someone who knows the account.
-
It does not build Shopping, Display, Video or Performance Max campaigns. What it does create is search campaigns.
-
It does not measure conversions or set them up. It reads the ones the account already tracks, and does not touch how they are counted.
Before you start
What you need to connect Google Ads
- 1
A Google Ads account
The account you already advertise from. Meteor works on yours; it does not create or bill through one of its own.
- 2
A Google permission for your account
Authorized once so your Met can read and manage the account on your behalf.
- 3
A Google Ads developer token
Requested from a manager account in Google Ads. It is a Google process of its own, and without it the programming interface does not answer even when the permission is granted.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Google Ads and Meteor
Yes. It comes with its budget, its ad group, the ad copy and the keywords, and paused on purpose so you can review it before it spends anything. Turning it on is a separate step and it is yours to take.
No. What it creates is born paused and activating is a separate step that asks you to confirm with the daily budget in view.
Yes. It has a query tool that reaches any table in the account, so it works for keywords, ads, audiences or search terms. It is read only: querying changes nothing.
Not through this route. On Google, message ads depend on an approval requested from your account representative. If what you want is an ad that opens a conversation, today that is done on Meta.
