Cloudinary and Meteor AI agents
Connect Cloudinary to a WhatsApp Met: upload the photos people send you, find them by tag or by similarity and sort them into folders.
How does Cloudinary connect to Meteor?
With the Cloudinary ready-made connector, your Met uses Cloudinary's official asset management MCP server on the account and environment the admin authorizes with OAuth. From WhatsApp it can upload the photos, videos or files people send you to your library, tag them, find them by their attributes or by visual similarity, sort them into folders, bundle several into a ZIP archive and check how much of your plan you have used. Deleting files, folders or derived versions and building the ZIP start switched off until the admin turns them on. Usage runs on your own Cloudinary account and plan.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Cloudinary
Store what a customer sends
A customer sends the photos for their order on WhatsApp. The Met uploads them to your Cloudinary library in the order's folder and tags them so they are easy to find later.
Find a photo without knowing its name
Someone on the team describes the photo or sends a similar one. The Met searches by its attributes or by visual similarity and returns the matches.
Hand over a bundle of files
When the team needs every photo from an order or a campaign, the Met bundles them into a ZIP archive and shares the download link. That action starts switched off.
Keep an eye on plan usage
Before a big upload, the Met checks the storage, credits and bandwidth you have used so the plan limit does not catch you by surprise.
20 tools
Everything your Met can ask Cloudinary for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.

The limits
What the Cloudinary integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before uploading or changing files. The admin decides in Connections which actions stay on; delete actions start switched off.
-
It does not transform or generate images on this page: it only includes the tools that the directory listing and the official repository show with the same name.
-
There is no trash for folders: deleting a folder also deletes the files in it, which is why that action starts switched off.
-
It does not return endless lists: folder search returns up to 2000 results, so it is best to search with a specific filter.
Before you start
What you need to connect Cloudinary
- 1
A Cloudinary account
The account your business already uses works. When you connect, you choose the product environment (cloud) the Met will work with.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Cloudinary → Connect. A Cloudinary window opens so you can sign in, choose the environment and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Cloudinary and Meteor
In your Cloudinary library, in the environment you chose when connecting. Cloudinary keeps them with a backup and revision history.
Only if the admin turns those actions on, because they start switched off. Keep in mind that deleting a folder deletes every file in it.
Yes. Visual search takes an image link, a library file or a text description, and returns the images that look like it.
You do, with your Cloudinary plan. Meteor does not resell Cloudinary: the connector uses your company's account and counts against that plan's storage and credits.
