Answer on WhatsApp how a customer's project is going by reading their Miro board

An AI agent reads the customer's Miro board and tells them on WhatsApp how their project is going, with images and what your team left.

How do I tell a customer on WhatsApp how their project is going if we track it all in Miro?

A Met connected to Miro, when a customer of your studio or agency asks on WhatsApp how their project is going, finds that customer's board, checks what is on it and reads the notes, cards or tables where your team tracks progress. It answers with that, shares the latest image if the board has a render or a sketch, and tells them which questions the team has open in the comments. When the customer answers, the Met replies in that same Miro thread so your team sees it without leaving the board. It does not change or delete anything on the board: it only reads and comments.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when a customer writes on WhatsApp to ask how their project is going or to answer something the team asked. There is no trigger to configure: the Met assigned to the line runs the procedure inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Support Met that checks Miro boards

Customer service team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that already answers the business's WhatsApp, with Miro connected. Its work ends when the customer knows how their project is going from what the board says, or when their answer is in the comment thread for the team.

6 steps · 6 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Find the customer's board

The Met searches the boards the connected account can access for the one named after the customer or the project. Each customer should have a board with a name that does not repeat.

  2. 2

See what is on the board

Before reading everything, the Met takes an overview pass on the board to find where the progress lives, for example the "Status" frame or the deliveries table your team uses.

  3. 3

Read the progress the team left

The Met reads those items in full, with their notes, cards and text, and puts together a short answer for the customer: what is done, what is next and what is missing. If the board does not say something, the Met does not assume it.

  4. 4

    Share the latest image

If the board has a render, a site photo or a sketch, the Met asks for that image's download link and shares it in the conversation so the customer sees the progress.

  5. 5

    Check the open questions

The Met lists the board's comments and tells the customer what the team is asking them, for example which finish they prefer or whether they approve a version.

  6. 6

Leave the customer's answer on the board

When the customer answers on WhatsApp, the Met replies in the same Miro comment thread with what the customer said, so the team sees it where they are working.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

No. The customer only talks to the Met on WhatsApp; the board still belongs to your team, and the Met reads it with the account that authorized the connection.

This procedure only reads and replies to comments. The action to update from an SVG can change or delete items and does not start switched off; if you do not use it, the admin turns it off in Connections.

Yes, the server works on all Miro plans. The free plan gives 100 calls a day, enough for a few questions; with more customers, a plan with a higher cap is a better fit.

Only if the connected account has access to that board. The connector follows Miro's permissions, so someone else's private board stays out of reach.
