Book a Wix Bookings service over WhatsApp

An AI agent offers the open times of your Wix Bookings service on WhatsApp and creates the booking on your site with the customer details.

How do I let a customer book over WhatsApp a service I already sell with Wix Bookings?

A Met connected to Wix finds your site, confirms Wix Bookings is installed and reads in the Wix documentation how availability is queried and how a booking is created. With the service and date the person asks for, it checks open times on your site, offers them and creates the booking with their name, email and phone. Then it reads the booking back to answer with what was saved. If the service requires payment up front, the charge follows the path your site has set up in Wix. Checking times and writing to the site depend on the admin turning on the API call, which starts turned off.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when someone writes on WhatsApp to ask for an appointment or a slot for a service you publish in Wix Bookings. There is no trigger to set up: the Met assigned to the line handles it inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Business booking Met

Customer service team

It is the Met that answers the business WhatsApp line. Its work ends when the booking exists in Wix Bookings, at the time the site confirmed, and the customer has the date and time in writing.

6 steps · 7 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Find the site and confirm it has Bookings

The Met lists the sites of the connected account and reads the context of the one this line serves: its ID and installed apps. If Wix Bookings does not appear, it says so and does not try to book on a site that does not support it.

  2. 2

Read how booking works in the Wix documentation

Since the Wix MCP does not bring one tool per task, the Met checks the documented business flow for bookings and searches the REST documentation for the availability and booking creation methods it will use.

  3. 3

Check the exact schema of each method

Before calling, the Met reads the full request and response schema of each method. That way it knows which fields are required, which date format to use and which service IDs it needs, without guessing them.

  4. 4

Offer only times Wix returns as open

With the service and date the person asked for, the Met queries availability in the site's Wix Bookings API and offers those times exactly as returned. It does not suggest times from memory or outside what the site answered.

  5. 5

Create the booking with the customer details

With the chosen time, the Met creates the booking on the site with the name, email and phone the person gave. If Wix rejects the request, for example because the slot was taken, the Met says so and checks availability again.

  6. 6

    Confirm what was saved

The Met reads the booking back from the site and replies with the date, time and service Wix saved, not with what was said in the chat. If several queries are needed, it chains them in a single script.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

Because the Wix MCP is general: one tool calls any site API. Reading the schema avoids sending fields Wix Bookings does not accept.

That depends on the notifications you have set up in Wix Bookings. The Met replies on WhatsApp with what Wix saved; Wix sends the emails.

It can call the Wix Bookings methods that do it, if the admin left the API call on. This automation covers creating the booking.

Yes. The Met lists the account sites and works on the one you point to in its instructions for that line.
