Make a customer's invitation with their event details on WhatsApp, in Adobe Express

An AI agent takes your customer's event details on WhatsApp, fills an Adobe Express invitation template and sends them the PDF.

How do I make a customer's invitation with their event details without opening the designer?

A Met connected to Adobe Express takes the name, date, time and venue of your customer's event on WhatsApp, and searches for an invitation template with those details and the type of event, such as a kid's birthday. It fills the template's text, swaps the photo or the background color if the customer asks, and downloads the design as a PDF to send for approval. Three of those actions start switched off because the Adobe Express server marks them as destructive: the admin has to turn on filling text, swapping images and changing the background for this procedure to work.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when a customer writes on WhatsApp to ask for an invitation and gives their event details. There is no trigger to configure: the Met assigned to the line runs the procedure inside that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Sales Met for invitations and printed pieces

Studio team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that already sells on the WhatsApp of an invitations, events or printing business, with Adobe Express connected. Its work ends when the customer approves their invitation's PDF.

6 steps · 6 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Find the template

The Met searches templates with general terms, such as "kid birthday party invitation", and passes the event details separately so the search takes them into account.

  2. 2

Fill the text with the event details

The Met fills the text of the most recent template in the conversation with the name, date, time and venue. This action starts switched off and the admin turns it on.

  3. 3

Swap the photo if the customer asks

If the customer wants another image, such as a dinosaur instead of a balloon, the Met swaps that design element, one at a time. It also starts switched off.

  4. 4

    Adjust the background color

If the customer asks for another background color, the Met changes it to the color they name. This action starts switched off, like the other edits.

  5. 5

Change the typeface or another detail

Filling text does not change the font or the letter color. If the customer asks, the Met sends that request through the server's route for other visual changes.

  6. 6

    Send the PDF for approval

The Met exports the design as a PDF, takes each page's signed link and sends it to the customer in the conversation for approval before printing.

Questions about this automation

Not as in the app: search is built for a gallery that WhatsApp does not have. The Met works with the most recent template and adjusts it with what the customer asks for.

Filling text does not change the font, color or size. The Met sends that request through the server's route for other visual changes.

PDF, with a signed link for each page, which the Met shares in the conversation.
