Send a personalized avatar video made in HeyGen on WhatsApp

An AI agent fills a HeyGen template with each customer's name and product, generates the video with your avatar and shares the link on WhatsApp.

How do I send a customer on WhatsApp a video with their name, made with my HeyGen avatar?

A Met connected to HeyGen first checks that your account has credits. Then it takes the video template your team built in HeyGen, reads its variables and fills them with what came out of the conversation: the customer's name, the product they are interested in or the date of their appointment. HeyGen generates the video with your avatar and your voice; the Met checks the status and shares the link once it is ready. If the customer speaks another language, it can request the translation with dubbing and lip sync. Each video uses credits from your HeyGen plan, and generating it takes time: it does not arrive in the same second.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when a customer moves forward in the sales conversation and your business delivers a personalized video at that point, for example a welcome or an explanation of the product they chose. There is no trigger to configure: the Met assigned to the line handles it in that conversation.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Sales Met with HeyGen videos

Studio team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the Met that already sells on the business's WhatsApp, with HeyGen connected. Its work ends when the customer gets the link to a video made for them, with your brand's avatar and template.

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Check that there are credits

Before requesting anything, the Met checks your HeyGen profile and credit balance. If it is not enough, it does not leave a job half done: it tells the customer the video will come later and leaves the alert for your team as the skill says.

  2. 2

    Find the video template

The Met lists the API-ready templates in your account and takes the one the skill names, for example "Customer welcome". Only templates with defined variables work; the others cannot be personalized through the connector.

  3. 3

    Read the template's variables

The Met opens the template and reads its variables, such as name, product or city, with the format each one expects. That tells it which details to take from the conversation, and no variable is left with sample text.

  4. 4

Generate the video with the customer's details

The Met fills the variables with the person's details and requests the video from HeyGen. The avatar, voice and background come from the template, so every video looks like your brand. Generation uses credits from your plan and runs in the background.

  5. 5

Check the status and share the link

The Met checks the video's status. When HeyGen marks it as finished, it shares the link in the conversation; if it is still processing, it tells the customer and checks again when the person writes. If it fails, it reads the reason and does not share a broken link.

  6. 6

Translate it if the customer speaks another language

If the person prefers another language, the Met checks it is among the ones HeyGen translates and requests the translation with voice cloning and lip sync. It checks its status the same way as the original video and shares the link to the translated version.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

Whatever HeyGen charges in credits for the length and type of video. Meteor does not resell those credits: they come out of your HeyGen plan, and translation is charged separately.

Yes, if you already created your avatar and voice clone in HeyGen and completed the consent HeyGen requires. The template uses that avatar and voice in every video.

HeyGen supports brand glossaries with pronunciations. If your team adds the hard words to the glossary, the videos say them correctly.

The Met shares the link HeyGen returns. How that link shows up in the chat depends on WhatsApp and on the customer's phone.
