Choose the keywords for a service page with Ahrefs, asking on WhatsApp

An AI agent checks volume, related terms and competition in Ahrefs before you write the page for a service.

Which keywords should I use on my service page so people find it on Google?

You write the service and the city to your Met, for example "carpet cleaning in Medellín". The Met checks that search's volume and difficulty in Keywords Explorer, lists the terms that contain it and the related ones, and reviews who holds the top results today. Then it looks at which keywords your domain already shows up for, so you do not compete with yourself, and returns a short list: the main keyword, the variants worth including and the ones better left for another page. Before a big query it checks how many API units you have left.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone on the team writes to the Met the service they want to rank. Each research runs on request and spends API units from the Ahrefs plan.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Social team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Ahrefs connected: it answers with the data Ahrefs returns and its work ends when it delivers the keyword list with its volume, not when it writes the page.

5 steps · 6 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Check how many units are left

Before querying several lists, the Met checks your subscription limits and usage. If few units are left, it warns you and asks for fewer rows instead of spending the rest of the month.

  2. 2

    Measure the main search

The Met checks the keyword overview in Keywords Explorer for the country where you sell: search volume and difficulty. That tells you whether the search exists and how contested it is.

  3. 3

Find the variants people search for

The Met lists the terms that contain the main keyword and the related terms, to find the ways people search for your service, such as price, near me or at home.

  4. 4

See who shows up in the results today

The Met brings the results page overview for the main keyword: which sites hold the top positions. If they are directories or big brands, it tells you so you can pick a more reachable variant.

  5. 5

Check which keywords you already show up for

The Met lists your domain's organic keywords. If another page of yours already shows up for the same search, it points it out so you do not write two pages that compete with each other.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

Yes, if you include the city in the search. Ahrefs measures volume by country, so the city goes in as part of the keyword, for example "plumber in Cali".

As many as you ask for. A short list per page is best: more rows spend more units and do not make the page better.

Yes. Site Explorer accepts any domain, so the Met can list a competitor's organic keywords with the same tool.
