Ship end to end with Skydropx, from the quote to the pickup

How an AI agent quotes with twenty carriers, creates the label, books the pickup and tells the customer where the nearest collection point is.

How do I ship an order end to end without going into the carrier's panel?

The Met quotes the route with every carrier that serves it and returns the list sorted from cheapest to most expensive, with service and transit days. It never chooses for you: with the rate a person approves it creates the label, returns the tracking number and the label link. Before booking a pickup it asks whether the carrier collects at that address, which is not the same question as whether it delivers to the destination. And when the customer would rather collect, the Met finds nearby collection points with their address and opening hours. It is the only connector in the catalog that books pickups, and it covers four of the five logistics stages.

Where it applies: Colombia, México, Chile. The same API serves all three countries. What changes per account is the production host and which carriers that client has enabled, so the real list for a route comes from the quote.

What starts it

When the customer writes

It starts when somebody asks what shipping costs, when it arrives or where they can collect it. What does not start on its own is the spending: creating the label and booking the pickup wait for an explicit yes from whoever ships, not from the buyer.

Nothing to set up. The Met assigned to that channel picks up the conversation and runs the procedure inside it.

Who runs it

Met for shipping operations

It works for whoever ships and answers whoever buys, which is exactly what you cannot do with two browser tabs open without slipping: the price quoted to the buyer and the rate the label is created with have to be the same one, and between them sits a human choice.

6 steps · 12 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Quote the route with every carrier at once

One question, twenty answers: the quote polls in a single call every carrier serving that route and returns carrier, service, total, currency and transit days, cheapest first. If the destination does not come back, the coverage query says who delivers there before you promise anything. The price communicated is the one Skydropx returns, never one the Met computed.

  2. 2

Offer a collection point to whoever will not wait at home

Plenty of people would rather collect, and until now that meant sending them off to the carrier's site. The collection point search returns nearby offices and counters with their address, city, opening hours and which carrier each belongs to. It serves both ends: the buyer who collects, and the merchant who would rather drop parcels at a counter than wait for a courier.

  3. 3

Create the label only after an explicit yes

Creating the label spends real account credit, so the connector demands the identifier of the chosen rate plus a separate confirmation, and it negotiates neither: it never picks the rate. The right order is showing carrier, service and total, waiting for the answer from whoever ships, and only then creating. Checking the balance first avoids a confusing error: with no credit the creation fails with a message that does not always name the money.

  4. 4

Ask whether they collect, and only then book

Whether a carrier delivers to a destination and whether it collects at your origin are two different questions, and confusing them surfaces late, on the day the courier never showed up. The pickup coverage query answers the second before committing the visit. When the response is not enough to tell, it returns unknown rather than no, which is the difference between reporting and guessing. Booking also demands a person's confirmation: it commits a real courier's route.

  5. 5

Answer where is my order with the number the customer got

Tracking runs on tracking number plus carrier, because the same number can exist at two of them. The answer carries the status and, when available, the movement history, and it says which source the data came from: so whoever reads it knows whether they have the full trace or just the current status. The Met stores the tracking number and the address on the contact so the next dispatch does not start from scratch.

  6. 6

    Explain the charge nobody recognizes

Reforwarding, weight or dimension differences, returns, extended zones: these are the deductions that show up on the account with nobody remembering why. The extra charges listing returns the concept, the amount and which shipment it belongs to. The connector's rule is not to add or recompute anything: it reports the charges exactly as they come, and the Met leaves them noted on the order record.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

No, it is an aggregator: one account and twenty carriers across Colombia, Mexico and Chile. That is why the tools are named by operation and the carrier travels as a parameter: which one serves that route and at what price is exactly what you are asking.

The first says whether they deliver to a destination; the second, whether they collect at your origin. They are different questions and there are addresses where the answer differs. Booking a pickup where they do not collect is a failure the merchant discovers on the day the courier never showed up.

They should not, and the design reflects it: the credit spent is the merchant's, so the confirmation belongs to whoever ships. The buyer gets shown the options, the collection point and the tracking; your team approves the spend.

You can link your own agreement in the Skydropx panel and flag it on the connector. With that on, the quote warns you when no negotiated rate shows up, instead of quoting you high in silence.
