Turn a long video into social clips and send them on WhatsApp for approval

An AI agent sends your long video to OpusClip, shares the clips on WhatsApp for approval and leaves the text and clip ready for the ones you pick.

How do I get social clips from a long video and approve them on WhatsApp before posting?

You send the Met on WhatsApp the YouTube link of your livestream, webinar or interview. The Met submits it to OpusClip as a new project and, when you ask, checks whether the project is ready, lists the clips with their preview link and tells you what each one is about. For the ones you approve, it generates the post text and brings you the HD download link. Scheduling starts turned off in Met: if the admin turned it on, the Met schedules the clip directly on the social account you connected in OpusClip and on the date you give. Usage spends credits from your OpusClip plan.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone on the team sends the Met the link to a long video on WhatsApp and asks for clips. It does not run in the background and is not triggered by a customer message: each video is a request, and usage spends OpusClip credits.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Social video Met with OpusClip

Studio team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is the social video Met from the catalog, with OpusClip connected. Its work ends when the clips you approved have their text and HD link, or are scheduled if the admin turned scheduling on; the ones you did not approve stay in OpusClip without going out.

5 steps · 8 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Submit the video to OpusClip

The Met submits the YouTube link to OpusClip to create a new project. OpusClip also accepts Vimeo links. Getting clips spends credits.

  2. 2

Check whether the project is ready

Getting clips is not instant. When you ask, the Met checks the list of recent projects and tells you whether that video already has clips or is still processing.

  3. 3

    See which clips came out

The Met lists the project's clips, with their preview link, and fetches each one's details to send you a short summary per clip. You or the person who approves reply in the same conversation with the ones that go out.

  4. 4

Get the text and the clip ready

For each approved clip, the Met asks OpusClip for the post text tailored to the network where it will go out, fetches the result when the job finishes and sends you the HD download link, or tells you if the clip is still rendering.

  5. 5

Schedule, if the admin turned it on

Scheduling starts turned off in Met. If the admin turned it on in Connections, the Met schedules the approved clips directly on the social account the skill names and on the date you give. If it stays off, the procedure ends at the previous step and you post yourself.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

OpusClip gets clips from YouTube or Vimeo links. If the video is saved on your device, the Met can create a signed link to upload it to OpusClip.

No. It only works with what you approved in the conversation, and scheduling starts turned off: unless the admin turns it on, the Met leaves you the text and the clip, and you post yourself.

As long as OpusClip takes to process the video. It is not instant: you ask the Met and it checks whether the project already has clips.

You do, with your OpusClip plan. Meteor does not resell OpusClip: the connector uses your company's account and usage is charged to that plan.
