Check on WhatsApp how this month's metrics are doing in Databox

Ask on WhatsApp how your metrics are doing: an AI agent finds the metric in Databox, loads the month and compares it with the last one.

How do I ask how my metrics are doing this month without opening Databox dashboards?

You write to your Met "how are we doing this month on leads compared with last month?". The Met takes the current date to set both ranges, finds the data source and the metric in your Databox workspace, loads its values for the current month and the previous one, and checks when the last data arrived so it does not reply with an old figure. It answers with both numbers, the difference and, if you ask, a dimension breakdown such as channel or city. It does not write or delete anything in Databox.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone on the team asks the Met about a metric. Each query runs on request; this procedure does not leave a scheduled report.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Analytics Met that answers with Databox metrics

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Databox connected: its work ends when it replies with the values Databox returned, or when it says which metric it did not find.

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Set the date ranges

The Met gets the current date and time from Databox to turn "this month" and "last month" into two exact ranges, and not compare a full month with one halfway through without saying so.

  2. 2

Find the source and the metric

The Met lists your organization's data sources and the metrics of the right one, with their key and dimensions. If two metrics have similar names, it asks you which one.

  3. 3

Load the values for both months

The Met loads the metric for each range and, if you asked, with a dimension breakdown. That gives it both totals and the detail by channel or city with the same definition.

  4. 4

Check the data is up to date

If the metric comes from a dataset loaded separately, the Met checks the load history. If the last data point is days old, it warns you along with the figure.

  5. 5

    Reply with the comparison

The Met replies with this month's value, last month's and the difference, and notes if the current month is not over yet. If you ask for the breakdown, it adds it in a few lines.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

Yes. The Met loads the metric for the range you ask for; the same month last year is another range with the same tool.

It sees the sources connected in your Databox workspace, with the permissions of the user who authorized the connection.

No. This procedure only reads metrics and load history. Creating, loading or deleting data are other actions, and deleting starts turned off.
