Zapier and Meteor AI agents
Connect Zapier to a Meteor AI agent: run actions from the apps you already connected in Zapier straight from WhatsApp, with 9 official tools.
How does Zapier connect to Meteor?
With Zapier connected, your WhatsApp Met can use the actions of the apps your company already connected in Zapier: create a spreadsheet row, record a contact in your CRM, post an alert to Slack or look up data in another tool, without a separate connector for each one. The 9 official tools of the default mode let it discover the action it needs, check which fields it asks for, enable it and run it. Each successful run uses two tasks from your Zapier plan.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Zapier
Take a WhatsApp lead to the app you already use
When your Met qualifies a prospect, it runs the Zapier action that creates them in your CRM or spreadsheet, with the details the person gave in the conversation.
Look up data in another tool
If the customer asks about something stored in another app connected to Zapier, your Met runs a read action, brings the data and answers with it.
Alert your team in its own channel
When a conversation needs a person, your Met uses the Zapier action that posts the alert in your team's tool, such as a Slack channel or an email.
9 tools
Everything your Met can ask Zapier for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
list_zapier_connections | Lists the app accounts your company already connected in Zapier. |
discover_zapier_actions | Searches Zapier actions for the one that fits what was asked. |

enable_zapier_action | Enables an action on the Zapier server so it can be run. |

The limits
What the Zapier integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not connect new apps on its own. It only uses the accounts your company already connected in Zapier; if one is missing, the Met returns the configuration link so someone on your team can connect it.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before writing. The workspace admin chooses which actions stay on in Met. The write action runs whatever is enabled in Zapier, so review there what you leave available.
-
It is not free per call. Each successful run uses two tasks from your Zapier plan; failed ones do not count.
-
It does not replace a scheduled Zap. The Met runs actions when the conversation calls for it; a process that must run on its own every hour is still a Zap in Zapier.
Before you start
What you need to connect Zapier
- 1
A Zapier account with your apps connected
Actions use the same app connections as your Zaps. Connect in Zapier the accounts the Met will use before asking it to work with them.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, go to Connections, search for Zapier and tap Connect. The Zapier window opens, you sign in and approve access. There is no key to copy.

Questions about Zapier and Meteor
Two for each successful call to an action, according to Zapier's documentation. Failed calls use no tasks. Tasks come out of your Zapier plan, not out of Met.
You do, in two places. In Zapier you choose which apps and accounts you connect, and you can set a fixed group of actions in managed mode. In Met, the admin turns each connector tool on or off.
With the ones that have actions in Zapier and are connected in your account. Zapier reports more than 9,000 apps; what the Met can do in each one depends on the actions that app offers.
Actions use tasks from your plan, so the volume you can use depends on it. Sharing an MCP server with other people on your team requires the Team or Enterprise plan.
