Read AI and Meteor AI agents
Connect Read AI to a WhatsApp Met: send the assistant to a meeting, read the summary and action items, and share the report with 14 tools.
How does Read AI connect to Meteor?
With the Read AI ready connector, your Met uses Read AI's official MCP server on your account, authorized once with OAuth. It can send the Read AI assistant to a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting with the link it is given, list your meetings by date, search them by what was discussed and read each one's summary, action items, topics and transcript. It also shares a report with an email and sorts your meetings into folders. The official server gives it 14 tools, is on every Read AI plan, including the free one, and Read AI publishes it as an open beta.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Read AI
Send the assistant to the customer's meeting
The customer shares tomorrow's meeting link on WhatsApp. Your Met sends the Read AI assistant to that meeting at the given time, so the report gets created.
Reply with what was agreed
Later, when the customer asks, the Met finds the meeting, reads the summary and action items and replies with the commitments in the same conversation.
Share the report with the customer
If the customer wants the details, the Met gives their email access to the report, recap only or full, as your team decided.
Sort meetings by customer
The Met leaves the meeting in that customer's folder in Read AI, so your team has the whole history together.
14 tools
Everything your Met can ask Read AI for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
list_meetings | Lists your meetings with a date filter and pagination, up to 10 per page, with the same detail a meeting returns by its ID. |
search_meeting_agent | Searches meetings by what was discussed in them, described in plain language, and explains why each one matches. It takes 20 to 60 seconds and covers roughly the last 12 months. |
get_meeting_by_id | Brings a meeting by its ID: participants, summary, chapters, action items, key questions, topics, transcript, metrics and a link to download the recording. |
share_meeting_report | Gives an email access to a meeting report, as recap viewer, full viewer or editor, with an optional invite. Only owners and editors can do it. |
create_meeting_agent | Sends the Read AI assistant to a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting from its link, right away or at a scheduled time. |
list_folders | Lists your private, shared and auto folders, with their name, meeting count and your access. |
get_folder | Brings a folder's details by its ID, with its type, meeting count and your access. |
list_folder_items | Lists the meetings in a folder, up to 10 per page, with their details. |
create_folder | Creates a private or shared folder, with name, color and icon, to organize meetings. |
update_folder | Changes the name, color, icon or description of a folder you can edit. |
add_folder_items | Adds one or more meetings to a folder, with the option to include the whole series if the meeting repeats. |
remove_folder_items | Takes one or more meetings out of a folder, without deleting them. Starts turned off. |
share_folder | Gives an email access to a shared folder, as viewer or editor, with an optional invite. |
delete_folder | Deletes a folder for good, for everyone who had it; the meetings stay intact. Starts turned off. |
The limits
What the Read AI integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not send the assistant to a meeting nobody pointed it to. Read AI requires the meeting link or ID; it does not guess them.
-
It does not answer questions with search. Search finds meetings; to answer, the Met then reads each meeting.
-
It does not ask you for confirmation in the chat before sharing or moving meetings. The admin chooses which actions stay on; removing meetings from a folder and deleting folders start turned off.
-
It does not see reports your account cannot access in Read AI. To see every report in the workspace, a Read AI admin has to turn on global report access.
-
It does not pay your Read AI plan. The MCP is on every plan, including the free one, and usage runs on your account.
Before you start
What you need to connect Read AI
- 1
A Read AI account
Any plan works, including the free one. If you belong to a Read AI workspace, it must have the Downloads option turned on in the reports and sharing settings.
- 2
Connect Read AI in Met
In Met, open Connections → Read AI → Connect. A Read AI window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met.
- 3
Decide which actions stay on
The workspace admin chooses which actions stay on. Removing meetings from a folder and deleting folders start turned off.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Read AI and Meteor
Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. The Met sends it with the meeting link, right away or at a scheduled time.
No. Read AI states it usually takes 20 to 60 seconds and only covers roughly the last 12 months. For a known date, listing by date is faster.
Read AI uses a different server address for European Union accounts. The Met connector points to the general address, so check with Read AI support before connecting.
You do, with your Read AI account and plan. Met does not resell Read AI or charge for the calls your Met makes to it.
