Profound and Meteor AI agents
Connect Profound to a Met: visibility, sentiment, citations and false claims about your brand in AI search, through the official MCP server.
What can an AI agent do with your Profound data?
With the Profound ready connector, your Met reads the data your Profound account already tracks about your brand in AI search: how visible it is, the sentiment of its mentions, which domains and pages get cited, which inaccurate claims show up and how many visits those engines send you. It answers with those figures on WhatsApp or in the internal chat, and it can also create prompts, documents and projects with tasks, and run Profound Workflows. Delete, archive and overwrite actions start switched off. It is Profound's official server, and the documentation places it on the Enterprise plan, which your company pays for.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Profound
Answer how your brand is doing in AI search
When someone on the team asks on WhatsApp how you compare with the competition, the Met finds the organization and the category, pulls the visibility and sentiment reports for the period and answers with the figures for your brand and for the ones Profound tracks next to it.
Find what assistants get wrong about your business
The Met pulls the FactCheck scores and the list of inaccurate claims for the category, reads the AI answers behind each one and tells you what is being said wrong, so your team can fix the source behind it.
Learn which sites get cited and how many visits they send
With the citations report, the Met tells you which domains and pages AI engines use to talk about your category; with the referrals and crawlers reports, how many visits reach you from those engines and which crawlers go through your site.
Put the finding in writing in Profound
When an analysis is done, the Met creates a Profound Docs document with the summary, adds a task to the category's project or adds a new prompt to track. Those writes stay on; delete, archive and overwrite start switched off.

The limits
What the Profound integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before writing to Profound. The admin chooses in Connections which actions stay on; delete and archive actions, and the ones Profound declares destructive, start switched off.
-
It does not change what AI assistants answer or edit your site. It measures and records; fixing the source of a false claim is your team's job.
-
It does not make up brands, categories or prompts: it only reads what your organization already tracks in Profound. If a category is not set up, there is no report to pull.
-
It does not edit or delete Knowledge Base documents: the MCP server only adds new ones. To change an existing one you have to go into Profound.
-
It does not work outside Profound's Enterprise plan, according to its documentation. Meteor does not resell Profound: your company buys the plan.
-
It does not bring unlimited lists: reports are paginated, and prompt volume lookups count toward the organization's limit of 1,000 distinct keywords per day.
Before you start
What you need to connect Profound
- 1
A Profound account on the Enterprise plan
Your company buys it from Profound. The connector works with the authorizing account's permissions, so it only sees the organizations and categories that account can access.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Profound → Connect. A Profound window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Profound and Meteor
The same data the authorizing account sees: visibility, sentiment, citations, FactCheck, shopping results, prompt volume, referrals and crawlers for the organizations and categories that account can access.
Only if the admin turns those actions on, because they start switched off. Profound says deleting a prompt or a document is permanent, so it is better to leave them off.
The documentation places the MCP server on Profound's Enterprise plan. It serves the brand or agency that already has that plan and wants to check its data from WhatsApp without opening the dashboard.
Your company, with its own Profound plan. Meteor does not resell Profound: the connector uses your company's account and follows the limits Profound sets for it.
