Guru and Meteor AI agents
Connect Guru to a WhatsApp Met: answer with your Knowledge Agents, search and open cards, and leave drafts with Guru's official MCP.
How does Guru connect to Meteor?
With the Guru ready connector, your Met uses Guru's official MCP server with the account the admin authorizes. It lists the Knowledge Agents, asks them for an answer, searches documents in the knowledge base and opens a card by its ID. It also creates drafts and updates cards. That way the Met answers on WhatsApp with what your team already wrote in Guru, and when an answer is missing it leaves a draft for someone to complete. Everything follows Guru's permissions, and every question is logged in the AI Agent Center.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Guru
Answer with the knowledge base
When a customer asks on WhatsApp about a policy, a price or a process, the Met asks the right Knowledge Agent for the answer and replies with what Guru says.
Open the full card
If the answer needs more detail, the Met searches the related documents and opens the card by its ID to answer with what it says in full.
Leave a draft when the answer is missing
If Guru does not have the answer, the Met creates a draft with the customer's question so someone on the team completes and publishes it.
Fix an outdated card
If the admin leaves card updates on and the team tells the Met about a change, the Met updates the matching card.
6 tools
Everything your Met can ask Guru for
Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
list_knowledge_agents | Lists the Guru Knowledge Agents the account can access. |
answer_generation | Generates an answer with a Guru Knowledge Agent from a question. |
search_documents | Searches documents in the Guru knowledge base. |
get_card_by_id | Gets a Guru card from its ID. |
create_draft | Creates a draft in Guru. |
update_card | Updates a Guru card. |
The limits
What the Guru integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask you for confirmation in the chat before creating a draft or updating a card. Updating a card changes what the whole team reads, so the admin decides in Connections whether to keep it on.
-
It does not see more than the connected account. According to Guru, the server follows all permissions: what that account cannot open in Guru, the Met cannot open either.
-
It does not ask anonymously. Questions that go through a Knowledge Agent are logged in the AI Agent Center with the person who connected the account as the asker.
-
It does not connect if Guru has not approved the application. Guru says some OAuth applications need its approval; if a redirect_uri error appears, you have to ask its support.
-
It does not pay your Guru plan. Usage runs on your account; Meteor does not resell the service.
Before you start
What you need to connect Guru
- 1
A Guru account with access to the base
The account your team uses for Guru, with access to the collections and Knowledge Agents the Met will consult.
- 2
A Knowledge Agent to answer
A Guru Knowledge Agent the account has permission to use. According to Guru, its agentId appears in that Knowledge Agent's API tab.
- 3
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Guru → Connect. A Guru window opens so you sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.

In Guru, open the Knowledge Agent, go to its API tab and copy the agentId. Put it in the Met's instructions if you want it to always consult that same agent.
You do, with your Guru account and plan. Meteor does not resell Guru or charge for the actions your Met takes there.
