Frame.io and Meteor AI agents

Connect Frame.io to a Met: find files, read and leave timecoded comments and check review links with the official Frame.io MCP server.

How does Frame.io connect to Meteor?

With the Frame.io ready-made connector, your Met uses Frame.io's official MCP server with your Adobe ID, authorized once with OAuth. It can search projects, folders, files and version stacks by name, open a file or a folder's contents, read a file's comments and leave a new one anchored to a video timecode, a PDF page or a point on an image. It also lists share links (creating them starts off until the admin turns it on), invites reviewers, uploads files from a public URL and checks whether they finished processing. Everything runs with your Frame.io account permissions.

What it automates

What a Meteor Met does with Frame.io

Tell the client where their video stands

The client asks about their piece. The Met finds the file by name, looks at the latest version in the stack and tells them how many comments are still open.

Move what the client said in chat into Frame.io

If the client sends their changes by message, the Met leaves them as comments on the file, anchored to the second of the video they pointed out, so the editor sees them in Frame.io.

Share the review link that already exists

The Met looks through the project's share links for the one with the client's piece and sends it, instead of creating a new one.

Upload a file that arrived as a link

When someone shares a public URL of a file, the Met asks Frame.io to fetch it into the project folder and checks when it finished processing.

Everything your Met can ask Frame.io for

Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.

Tool What it does

read_context Shows the signed in user and helps you browse accounts, workspaces and projects.
search_assets Searches an account for projects, folders, files and version stacks by name or content.

restore_assets Restores a recently deleted file, folder or version stack to its original location.

read_members Lists people and their roles at the account, workspace, project or folder level.
manage_members Changes a member's role or removes their direct membership at the account, workspace, project or folder level. Starts switched off.
upload_media Uploads a file, or has Frame.io fetch it from a public web link.

The limits

What the Frame.io integration does NOT do

We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.

Before you start

What you need to connect Frame.io

  1. 1

A Frame.io account with an Adobe ID

The Frame.io account your team works in, associated with an Adobe ID. If your company uses Adobe managed accounts, sign in with the right organization.

  2. 2

    Connect it in Met

In Met, open Connections → Frame.io → Connect, sign in to Adobe and authorize access. Then you choose which actions stay on.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Frame.io and Meteor

Yes, if the Met knows which one. Frame.io lets a comment be anchored to a video timecode, a PDF page or a point on an image.

Creating share links starts switched off until the admin turns it on in Connections, and Frame.io says anyone with a public link can open it.

Frame.io warns that the connection works but searches come back empty or with permission errors. You need to sign out of that Adobe session and connect again.

You do, with your Frame.io plan. Meteor does not resell Frame.io and does not charge for the calls the Met makes to your account.
