ClickUp and Meteor AI agents
Connect ClickUp to a WhatsApp Met: search and create tasks, comment, assign and tell customers how their job is going through ClickUp's official MCP.
How does ClickUp connect to Meteor?
With the ClickUp ready connector, your WhatsApp Met works on your company's ClickUp workspace with the account the admin authorizes. It searches for a task, a list or a doc, opens the task with its comments and tells the customer how their job is going. If you turn it on, it also creates the task in the right list, assigns it, leaves a comment and posts a heads up in a ClickUp chat channel. It is ClickUp's official server, available on every plan; your plan sets how many calls your workspace gets per day, and deleting a task starts switched off.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with ClickUp
Turn a WhatsApp request into a task
If you turn it on, when a customer asks for a job your Met finds the matching list, creates the task with a description of the request, assigns it to the person in charge and sets the agreed due date.
Tell the customer how their job is going
When the person asks, the Met finds their task, reads the status and the team's latest comment and answers with that, without anyone opening ClickUp to reply.
Record on the task what the customer said
The Met adds a comment with the change the person asked for, in their words, so the team works with the request written on the task.
Alert the team in ClickUp chat
If something is urgent, the Met posts a message in the ClickUp chat channel your team uses, with the link to the task and a summary of the conversation.

The limits
What the ClickUp integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before writing to ClickUp. The admin chooses in Connections which actions stay on; deleting a task and the remove actions start switched off.
-
It has a daily call cap shared by the whole workspace: without ClickUp's AI add-on it is 100 on Free Forever, 300 on Unlimited, 1,000 on Business, 2,500 on Business Plus and 5,000 on Enterprise. Once it fills up, ClickUp answers with a 429 error.
-
It does not create or update tasks in bulk through this connector: ClickUp's documentation names those actions but does not publish their identifier, so this page does not promise them.
-
It sees no more than the account that authorized the connection: it only does what that user is allowed to do in ClickUp.
-
It does not work with ClickUp API keys or personal tokens: the connection is OAuth only.
Before you start
What you need to connect ClickUp
- 1
A ClickUp account with access to the lists
Any ClickUp plan works, including Free Forever. The plan sets the daily call cap, and ClickUp's AI add-on replaces it with a per minute limit.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → ClickUp → Connect. A ClickUp window opens so you can sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about ClickUp and Meteor
It depends on how many calls each one makes. On the free plan without the AI add-on the whole workspace gets 100 calls a day, and a status check can use two or three. To serve customers every day, a plan with more room is a better fit.
Yes. It can look the member up by name or email and turn them into a valid assignee before creating or updating the task.
No. The customer only sees what the Met answers on WhatsApp. Tasks, internal comments and channels stay inside your ClickUp workspace.
You do, with your ClickUp plan. ClickUp does not publish a separate charge for the MCP server, but your plan's call cap applies.
