Compare your site's traffic with competitors using Similarweb, on WhatsApp

An AI agent compares in Similarweb the visits, channels, countries and audience of your site and of your competitors.

How do I compare my site's visits with my competitors' without building a report?

You write your domain and one or several competitors' domains to your Met. The Met checks in Similarweb each site's visits and engagement in the same period, splits their traffic by marketing channel and by country, lists the sites that send them visits and the similar sites you did not have on your radar, and measures how much audience they share. It returns a short comparison in the chat, noting that these are Similarweb estimates. Every query spends data credits from your plan.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone on the team asks the Met to compare their site with one or several competitors. Each comparison runs on request and spends Similarweb data credits.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Analytics Met that compares sites with Similarweb

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Similarweb connected: its work ends when it delivers the comparison with the figures Similarweb returned, or when it says which site has no data.

5 steps · 6 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

Bring visits and engagement for each site

The Met checks visits, visit duration, pages per visit and bounce rate for your site and for each competitor, in the same period, so the comparison is fair.

  2. 2

See which channels traffic comes from

The Met splits each site's traffic between direct, organic search, paid search, social, mail and referrals. That shows whether the competitor grows through ads or through rankings.

  3. 3

Check which countries visits come from

The Met brings each site's traffic by country. If the competitor gets visits from a country where you also sell and you do not, it points it out.

  4. 4

    Find who sends them visits

The Met lists the sites that refer traffic to your competitors and the sites similar to them, so you see media, directories or partners where you do not show up yet.

  5. 5

Measure how much audience they share

With two to five sites, the Met checks the audience overlap and tells you how much your visitors cross with your competitors' visitors.

What you need ready

The Met solves none of these for you. If one is missing, the automation stops there.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

As many as you want for visits and channels, one per query. Audience overlap is measured between two and five sites at a time.

No. They are Similarweb estimates. For your own site, your analytics has the real figures and is the source.

This procedure runs on request. Repeating it every month means asking again, and each run spends credits from your Similarweb plan.
