Close your Rappi store or switch off a sold-out product from WhatsApp

You tell an AI agent on WhatsApp that a dish ran out or that you are closing for the day, and it switches it off on Rappi without the portal.

How do I switch off a sold-out product or close my restaurant on Rappi from WhatsApp, without the portal?

You text your Met on WhatsApp "we ran out of breaded chicken" or "we are closing for today, we are swamped". If it is a product, the Met switches it off on Rappi by its reference or its Rappi ID, and switches it back on when you say it arrived; the price does not change. If you close the store, it first checks the new orders still waiting to be accepted, because an order not accepted in time is canceled automatically on Rappi: it asks you which ones to accept and with how much cooking time, and then closes the store so it stops receiving orders. When you want to open again, you say so and it opens it.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone at the location texts the Met on WhatsApp that a product ran out, that it is back, or that the Rappi store needs closing or opening. Each change is on request.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Internal kitchen Met connected to Rappi

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Rappi connected, for the person in charge of the location: it is done when the product is off or on, or when the store is closed or open with no orders left waiting to be accepted.

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Switch off the sold-out product

The Met switches off on Rappi the product you named, identifying it by the reference your location uses. It only changes whether it shows or not: the price and the menu stay the same.

  2. 2

Use the Rappi ID if there is no reference

If your location has no references of its own, the Met switches the product off or on by its internal Rappi ID. When you tell it the product arrived, it switches it back on the same way.

  3. 3

    Check pending orders before closing

Before closing the store, the Met lists the new orders still waiting to be accepted, without changing anything, and shows them to you. An order not accepted in time is canceled automatically on Rappi.

  4. 4

Accept the ones you can prepare

The Met accepts the orders you tell it to, with the cooking time in minutes you give it, and checks each one's events to confirm they were accepted.

  5. 5

    Close or open the store

The Met closes the whole store on Rappi so it stops receiving orders, because you are swamped or the day is over. When you text it that you are opening again, it makes it available again.
