Trello and Meteor AI agents
Connect Trello to a Met: create cards, move them between lists, add checklists and comments and search your boards with the official MCP.
How does Trello connect to Meteor?
With the Trello ready connector, your Met works in the Trello workspaces the admin authorizes. It searches cards and boards by keyword, reads boards, lists, cards, checklists and comments, creates and updates cards, moves them between lists, assigns people, adds labels, checklists and comments, and archives what is no longer needed. It also reads your Trello Inbox and Planner. It cannot delete anything: Trello only allows archiving. It works with any Trello plan.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Trello
Turn a request into a card
When a customer asks for something on WhatsApp, the Met creates a card in the intake list of the team's board, with the request and their contact in the description.
Answer how a request is going
If the customer asks about their request, the Met finds the card, checks which list it is in and reads the team's latest comment to reply.
Organize the day's work
You ask the Met which tasks are due this week and it lists them from your boards; with writing turned on, it moves the finished ones to the done list.
Leave a checklist ready
For a job with steps, the Met adds a checklist to the card with the items agreed in the chat.

The limits
What the Trello integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not delete cards or lists. Trello MCP does not allow deleting: it can archive, and archived items can be restored in Trello.
-
It does not see workspaces you did not authorize. You choose the workspaces when connecting; to add another one, you disconnect and authorize again.
-
It does not do more than your account can do in Trello. It respects your usual permissions.
-
It does not create focus blocks on the free plan. Creating focus time in Planner needs Trello Premium or Enterprise.
-
It does not ask you for confirmation in the chat before writing. The admin decides in Connections which actions stay on.
Before you start
What you need to connect Trello
- 1
A Trello account
A Trello account on any plan, with access to the boards you want the Met to use.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Trello → Connect. A Trello window opens so you sign in, choose the workspaces and approve the permissions.
- 3
Organization permissions, if they apply
In organizations managed in Atlassian Administration, the admin controls which access level, read, write or search, is allowed for MCP servers.
