Softr and Meteor AI agents
Connect Softr to a WhatsApp Met: search records, create and update rows and get totals from your Softr databases with the official MCP server.
How does Softr connect to Meteor?
With the Softr ready-made connector, your Met uses Softr's official MCP server with a personal access token the admin creates. From WhatsApp it can find your databases and tables, read which fields they have, search records with filters, create one record or up to 100 at once, update fields without touching the rest and get totals such as sales by month or open cases per person. Each read returns up to 200 records. The token decides which workspaces and which access level the Met has, and delete actions start switched off because in Softr a deletion cannot be undone.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Softr
Log what comes in on WhatsApp
A customer leaves a request on WhatsApp. The Met reads the fields of the table where your team keeps requests and creates the record with what the customer said.
Answer with what is already stored
When the customer asks how their request is going, the Met finds their record with a filter, for example by phone number, and answers with the status the table shows.
Get a total without opening the database
The owner asks how many cases are open per person or how much was sold per month. The Met groups the table and answers with the total, without pasting hundreds of rows.
Keep a record up to date
When the team says something changed, the Met updates only the fields that changed, such as the status or the date, and leaves the rest of the record as it was.

The limits
What the Softr integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask for confirmation in the chat before creating or changing records. The admin decides in Connections which actions stay on; delete actions start switched off.
-
There is no trash: Softr says deleting records, fields, tables or databases is permanent and cannot be restored, which is why those actions start switched off.
-
It does not pull whole tables at once: each read returns up to 200 records, so it is best to ask with a filter or ask for a total.
-
It does not write computed fields: formulas, lookups, rollups, counts, created times and autonumbers are managed by Softr and the Met can only read them.
-
It does not go beyond the token's permissions: if the token is view only for databases, the Met cannot create, change or delete anything.
Before you start
What you need to connect Softr
- 1
A Softr personal access token
In Softr, open your account menu → API tokens and create a token. There you choose which workspaces it covers and the database access level: full access, edit data, view only or none.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Softr → Connect and paste the token. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Softr and Meteor
The minimum the task needs. If the Met will only answer, view only is enough; if it will log requests, edit data. With view only, Softr does not allow any deletion.
Only if the token allows it and the admin turns those actions on, since they start switched off. In Softr a deletion is permanent: there is nowhere to recover it from.
The tools on this page work on Softr's own databases. External data sources go through other server tools this page does not include.
You do, with your Softr plan. Meteor does not resell Softr: the connector uses your account's token and follows the limits Softr sets.
