NocoDB and Meteor AI agents

Connect NocoDB to a WhatsApp Met: query, count and sum records, create new rows and link records in your tables with the official MCP server.

How does NocoDB connect to Meteor?

With the NocoDB ready-made connector, your Met uses NocoDB Cloud's official MCP server, authorized once with OAuth, and it only reaches the projects and tools you choose in that authorization. From WhatsApp it can list your tables and read their fields, query records with filters, get one by its ID, count them and get sums or averages, read attachments and create up to 100 records per call. It also links related records. Update, delete and unlink start switched off, and every call counts toward your workspace's API Calls allowance.

What it automates

What a Meteor Met does with NocoDB

Log what arrives on WhatsApp

A customer leaves an order or a request. The Met reads the fields of the table where your team tracks them and creates the record with what the customer said.

Answer with what is already stored

When the customer asks about their order, the Met queries the table filtering by their phone or order number and replies with the status the record has.

Get a total without opening NocoDB

The owner asks how many orders came in this week or what they add up to. The Met counts or aggregates over the table with a date filter and answers with the figure.

Relate the order to the customer

If the base has a customers table and an orders table, the Met links the new order to the customer's record through the link field.

12 tools

Everything your Met can ask NocoDB for

Each one is a real action in the connector. You can switch off the ones you would rather it never used.

Tool What it does
gettableslist Lists the tables in a base.
gettableschema Gets a table's schema, with its fields and views.
queryrecords Queries a table's records with filters and sorting; returns 50 by default and up to 200 per page.
getrecord Gets a record by its ID, in the same shape the query returns.
countrecords Counts a table's records, with a filter if you need one.
aggregate_single Computes sums, minimums, maximums, averages, counts and date ranges over a filtered table.
readattachment Reads the content of a record's attachment; text as text, images as images and other files with their download link.
createrecords Creates records in a table, up to 100 per call.
updaterecords Updates records, up to 100 per call; a link field is replaced entirely. Starts switched off.
deleterecords Deletes records from a table, up to 100 per call. Starts switched off.
linkrecords Adds links from records in this table to records in the linked table.
unlinkrecords Removes specific links from records and keeps the rest. Starts switched off.

The limits

What the NocoDB integration does NOT do

We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.

Before you start

What you need to connect NocoDB

  1. 1

A NocoDB Cloud account with your tables

The NocoDB workspace where your team keeps the data. Your role in each project decides whether the Met can only read or also write.

  2. 2

    Connect it in Met

In Met, open Connections → NocoDB → Connect. On the NocoDB screen you choose the projects it reaches and which tools it allows, and you authorize. Then you choose which actions stay on.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about NocoDB and Meteor

Only if the admin turns on the delete action, which starts switched off, and the NocoDB authorization allows it. Each call deletes up to 100 records.

Because the NocoDB server marks it as destructive: updating a link field replaces the whole list. If you need it, the admin turns it on.

This connector points to NocoDB Cloud. A self hosted install exposes the MCP at its own URL and is connected as a custom connector.

You do, with your NocoDB plan, and the Met's calls count toward your API Calls allowance. Meteor does not resell NocoDB.
