Linear and Meteor AI agents
Connect Linear to a WhatsApp Met: list, create and update issues, comment and review projects and cycles with Linear's official MCP.
How does Linear connect to Meteor?
With the Linear ready connector, your Met uses Linear's official MCP server with the account the admin authorizes. It lists teams, issues, statuses, labels, cycles, projects and documents, and gets the details of each one. It also creates and updates issues and projects, and leaves comments. That way a report that arrives on WhatsApp ends up as an issue in the right team, and when the customer asks how their case is going, the Met answers with the status it has in Linear. The admin decides in Connections which actions stay on.
What it automates
What a Meteor Met does with Linear
Turn a report into an issue
When a customer says on WhatsApp that something is not working, the Met finds the support team, checks the existing issues and, if none describes the same problem, creates a new one with what the customer said.
Answer how a case is going
If the customer asks about their case, the Met gets the issue and replies with the status it has in Linear and the team's latest comment, without making up progress.
Add a repeated report
If another customer reports the same thing, the Met leaves a comment on the existing issue instead of opening a duplicate, so the team sees how many people have the problem.
Tell the owner what is in progress
When the owner asks on WhatsApp what the team is working on, the Met lists the cycles and projects and sums up what it finds.

The limits
What the Linear integration does NOT do
We would rather say it here than have you find out during rollout.
-
It does not ask you for confirmation in the chat before creating or updating. If you want the Met to only read, the admin turns off the create and update actions in Connections.
-
It does not delete or archive issues: the server's tool list has none for that.
-
It does not work with two Linear workspaces in the same connection. Linear asks for a separate authentication for each workspace.
-
It does not do the technical work. It logs and follows the case; solving it is your team's work in Linear.
-
It does not pay your Linear plan. Usage runs on your account; Meteor does not resell the service.
Before you start
What you need to connect Linear
- 1
A Linear account with access to the team
The account your team uses for Linear. The Met works in the workspace that account authorizes when connecting.
- 2
Connect it in Met
In Met, open Connections → Linear → Connect. A Linear window opens so you sign in and authorize Met. Then you choose which actions stay on.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Linear and Meteor
The Met connector uses Linear's read and write address. For the Met to only read, the admin turns off the create and update actions in Connections.
Linear ties each authentication to one workspace. Working with another workspace takes another authorization with that workspace's account.
No. The customer only talks to the Met on WhatsApp; the issue is created by the account that connected Linear in Met.
You do, with your Linear account and plan. Meteor does not resell Linear or charge for the actions your Met takes there.
