Fastmail and Meteor AI agents

Connect Fastmail to a Met: search and read emails, leave drafts, look up contacts and create events in your calendar with the official MCP.

How does Fastmail connect to Meteor?

With the Fastmail ready connector, your Met uses the official Fastmail MCP server on your account, authorized once with OAuth and your normal Fastmail password. It can search and read emails and threads, write drafts, organize the mailbox, find and update contacts, and check, create or change events in your calendars, as well as answer invitations. When you authorize, you choose the access level: read only, write or send. The Fastmail MCP does not give access to attachments, and archiving or deleting emails, contacts and events starts turned off.

What it automates

What a Meteor Met does with Fastmail

Book a visit from the chat

A customer asks for an appointment on WhatsApp. Your Met checks that day's events in the calendar you chose, creates the event and leaves the confirmation email as a draft.

Find a customer's details

When someone on your team asks about a customer, the Met looks them up in your Fastmail contacts and replies with what is saved, or updates their phone if it changed.

Sum up what reached the inbox

The Met searches the emails from the last few days, reads the threads and gives your team a list of what is pending, without opening the mailbox.

Tidy up the mailbox

With write access authorized, the Met moves the emails from a supplier or a customer to their folder so the mailbox stays up to date.

The limits

    A Fastmail account

The Fastmail account with the email, contacts and calendars the Met will use.

  2. 2

No. Fastmail says its MCP does not give access to attachments for now. The Met reads the email text, not the file.

You do, with your Fastmail account and plan. Met does not charge for the calls your Met makes to Fastmail.
