Check competitor prices on WhatsApp with Bright Data

An AI agent searches the web for what your competitors charge for a product, reads their pages and replies on WhatsApp with prices and links.

How do I find out on WhatsApp what my competitors charge for a product before quoting?

You write the product to your Met on WhatsApp and, if you want, the stores you care about. A Met connected to Bright Data searches Google for the pages selling it, reads them even if they have bot protection and pulls the name, price and availability from each one. If the store has a ready made scraper in Bright Data and the admin turned on running it, it runs it on the links and returns the records. It replies in the chat with a short list of prices and their links. You decide the price you set; usage is billed on your Bright Data account.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when the owner or someone in sales asks the Met on WhatsApp how much the competition charges for a product or a service. There is no trigger to configure: the request arrives in the conversation.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Analyst Met that watches the market

It is the business's analyst Met, with Bright Data connected. Its work ends when you have in the chat the prices it found, with the link for each one, to decide your quote.

6 steps · 7 tools

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Find who sells it

The Met searches Google for the product with the words you gave and keeps the store pages, leaving out blogs and comparison sites that do not show a price.

  2. 2

    Read each page

The Met reads each page as clean text, even if it has bot protection, to see the price a visitor sees at that moment.

  3. 3

    Pull price and availability

With instructions on what to look for, the Met turns the page into data: product name, price, currency and whether it is available, to compare without copying by hand.

  4. 4

Use a ready made scraper if there is one

If the store has a ready made scraper in Bright Data, the Met finds it and checks which inputs it needs before using it, instead of reading page by page.

  5. 5

Run it and bring the records

The Met runs the scraper on the links and returns the records when it finishes. This action is billed per record on your account and starts off until the admin turns it on; without it, the Met reads the pages one by one.

  6. 6

    Reply with the list

The Met replies in the chat with prices sorted from lowest to highest, the store and the link for each one, and tells you if any page did not show a price.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

They are what each page showed when the Met read it. If you ask tomorrow, the Met reads them again.

Yes, if you tell it which ones. Search and reading work on public pages; the Met does not convert currencies on its own.

Bright Data bills it on your account: reads use requests and ready made scrapers are billed per record. Met does not charge for those calls.
