Ask on WhatsApp for last week's ad spend summary with Supermetrics

Ask on WhatsApp how much you spent on ads: an AI agent queries Google Ads and Meta Ads through Supermetrics and replies.

How do I know how much I spent on ads last week without opening each platform?

You write to your Met "how much did we spend on ads last week?". The Met takes today's date to set the exact range, finds in Supermetrics the ad sources you have connected, such as Google Ads and Meta Ads, and the accounts in each, checks the names of the cost, click and conversion fields, and runs the query. If the query is large, it waits for the result. Then it replies with each platform's spend and results, in each account's currency. It does not add up different currencies or change anything in your campaigns.

What starts it

When someone asks for it

It starts when someone on the team asks the Met about ads for a period. Each query runs on request; this procedure does not leave a scheduled report.

A manual task: someone on the team runs it with a button, or asks the Met for it in chat.

Who runs it

Ads analytics Met with Supermetrics

Social team

This is not a named, seeded Met. It is an internal Met with Supermetrics connected: its work ends when it delivers the figures the platforms returned, or when it tells you which account could not be queried and why.

The procedure, step by step

Each step shows the tool that runs. They belong to the real connector: if one of them stopped existing, this page would not build.

  1. 1

    Set the date range

The Met checks today's date in Supermetrics to turn "last week" into an exact range, Monday to Sunday, and not confuse a closed week with one still in progress.

  2. 2

Find the ad sources and accounts

The Met lists the available data sources and the connected accounts in each one, such as your Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts. If an account is not connected, it tells you.

  3. 3

    Check the field names

Before querying, the Met checks which fields each source has so it asks for cost, impressions, clicks and conversions with the right name, instead of assuming a field that does not exist.

  4. 4

    Run the query

The Met runs the query for each source with the agreed range and accounts. If the query is long, Supermetrics processes it separately and the Met brings the result when it finishes.

  5. 5

    Reply with each platform's figures

The Met replies with each platform's spend, clicks and conversions, each in its own currency. If two accounts use different currencies, it does not add them up: it shows both totals.

FAQ

Questions about this automation

Yes, if you have Google Analytics connected in Supermetrics. The Met finds it with the same data sources tool and queries it the same way.

This procedure runs on request. A scheduled delivery would be a different automation, with its own trigger.

Because each platform counts conversions with its own attribution model. The Met reports those figures as they come and does not call them sales.
